Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Timaru.

THE following resolution, made by the Timaru Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

TIMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Timaru Borough Loans Consolidation Act, 1909, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908 (which two last-mentioned Acts are incorporated with the Timaru Borough Loans Consolidation Act, 1909, where not inconsistent therewith), the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and in exercise of all other powers and authorities thereunto enabling, the Council of the Borough of Timaru hereby resolves: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on an additional loan of £4,270, being 10 per centum of a loan of £42,700 authorized to be raised by the Timaru Borough Council, under the provisions of the said three first-mentioned Acts, for the construction of borough drainage and sewerage works, and house and other building connections, and which said loan of £4,270 has been granted by the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board to the said Council under Part IV of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and the regulations made thereunder, and section 2 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the original loan having proved insufficient to complete the work in respect of which it was granted, the Timaru Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Timaru, comprising the whole of the Borough of Timaru; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of June and the 31st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and six months, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Made at a special meeting of the Council of the Borough of Timaru held on the 13th day of March, 1911, and sealed with the common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Timaru, in the presence of—

Resolution made by the Mackenzie Town Board.

THE following resolution, made by the Mackenzie Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

MACKENZIE TOWN BOARD.

Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power (if any) it in that behalf enabling, the Mackenzie Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Mackenzie Town Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing material for a sanitary service, the said Mackenzie Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅙d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Mackenzie Town Board District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Resolution made by the Council of the County of Bruce.

THE following resolution, made by the Bruce County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

BRUCE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, the Bruce County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Bruce County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, for the formation and metalling of the Stirling–Benhar Road, the said Bruce County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound upon the rateable value of the rateable property of the outlying district of Matau Riding; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, bearing interest at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum, and to be payable on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of the said loan.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was carried at a special meeting of the Bruce County Council held at the Council Chambers, Milton, on Tuesday, 7th March, 1911.

NGARUAWAHIA TOWN BOARD.

Resolution striking Special Rate over Whole of Ngaruawahia Town District as Security for Loan of £100.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and amendments thereto, the Ngaruawahia Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Ngaruawahia Town Board, under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and amendments thereto, being an additional amount of 10 per cent. on the original loan of £1,000 raised by the said Board under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, for the purpose of providing additions to the saleyards and for forming and metalling certain roads within the Ngaruawahia Town Area, which is not sufficient to complete such works, the said sum of £100 to be expended in completing and additions to the saleyards and the formation and metalling of the various roads for which the original loan was raised, the said Ngaruawahia Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/12 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the whole Ngaruawahia Town Dis-
