of Section 37; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 37, 36, Block V, and Section 3, Block IV, Arawaru, to the Victoria Road; thence along the Victoria Road to the Main County Road; thence along the southern boundary of Section 4, Block IV, Arawaru Survey District, to the railway-line, along the railway-line to the boundary of the Tokomaru Township, along the south and west boundary of same to Section 48, Block I, Arawaru Survey District; from this point in a direct line to the corner boundary of Sections 45 and 46, Block I; thence along the railway-line to the starting-point: as the same is shown on the plan, and coloured red: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the 11th day of February, 1911.

AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution levying Special Rate, passed 4th March, 1911.

THAT the Amuri County Council doth hereby make and levy a special rate of 1/112 of a penny in the pound upon all the rateable properties in the County of Amuri, to secure the payment of interest and sinking fund on a loan of £1,000, being 10 per centum addition to the loan of £10,000 raised under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1901, and the several Acts amending the same; such special rate to be an annual-recurring rate payable on the 1st day of May in each year until the said loan of £1,000 is repaid.

Moved by Councillor D. D. Macfarlane, seconded by Councillor D. Rutherford, and carried unanimously.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed by the Amuri County Council on the 4th day of March, 1911.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate as Security for Loan of £500, Mangaore Road.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of widening the existing Mangaore Road and constructing a bridle-track from the terminus thereof to the boundary of Section 4, Block IV, Waiopehu Survey District, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11/15 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable properties in the Mangaore No. 2 Special Rating District, comprising Sections 7 and 8, Block III, Waiopehu Survey District; Section 12,

Block XV, Mount Robinson Survey District; and parts Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Block IV, Waiopehu Survey District; as the same is shown on the plan, and coloured red: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the 11th day of February, 1911.

LOWER HUTT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Re £10,000 Drainage Loan (No. 2), 1911.—Resolution making and levying a Special Rate of One-seventh of a Penny in the Pound.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, the Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised from the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Board by the Lower Hutt Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction and provision of sewage and surface drainage-works (including the taking or acquisition of lands and other rights), £9,000 to be appropriated for sewage drainage and £1,000 for surface drainage, the said Lower Hutt Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/7 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Lower Hutt; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 4th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed this 13th day of March, 1911, as provided by section 4 (1) of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to Raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Levin was taken on the 2nd day of March, 1911, on the proposal of the Levin Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,200 for completion of the borough waterworks and for further extensions thereof.
