RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £750.—Bruces Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £750, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, bridging, culverting, and metalling Bruces Road from its junction with the Marton–Turakina Road for a distance of about 100 chains, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2/7 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Bruces Road Special Rating District, comprising Sections part 54 (497 acres 3 roods 21 perches, assessed to Edga L. Briant); parts 54 (569 acres, assessed to Andrew C. Bruce); parts 42 and 54 (1,024 acres and 33 perches, assessed to James Bruce); part Lot 5, Ann Bank Estate (deposited plan 1715), and being parts Sections 41 and 54 (217¾ acres, assessed to Frank Gould); part Lot 4, Ann Bank Estate, and being parts of Sections 41 and 54 (40½ acres, assessed to Emily Wade), and also parts Sections 41 and 54 (14 acres 2 roods 23 perches, assessed to Emily Wade); all the above being situate in Block XIII, Wangaehu Survey District; and Lot 6, Ann Bank Estate, being parts of Sections 39, 40, and 54, and containing 383¼ acres; Lot 7, Ann Bank Estate, being parts Sections 37, 38, and 54, containing 282½ acres; part Lot 4, Ann Bank Estate, being parts Sections 40 and 41, containing 78½ acres; and part Lot 8, Ann Bank Estate, being part Section 54, containing 235 acres 2 roods 6 perches; the four areas last mentioned being assessed to Bennet P. Lethbridge, and being situate in Block XIII, Wangaehu Survey District, and Block XV, Ikitara Survey District; the whole being more particularly shown upon the plan attached to the ratepayers’ consent to such loan, and thereon bordered red: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest and repayment on such loan being together at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum; and that the cost of raising the loan be paid out of the loan, but not the interest and repayment for the first year.

It is hereby certified that the foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on Saturday, the 4th day of March, 1911.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £110.—Okirae Deviation and Kauangaroa Roads, &c.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a further loan of £110 (being 10 per centum of the original loan of £1,100), authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming the Okirae Deviation Road from the foot of Beard’s Hill to the Okirae Flat, about two miles and a quarter, and metalling the Kauangaroa and Okirae Roads from the end of present metal at Kauangaroa to foot of Beard’s Hill, about three miles and a quarter, and the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/130 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Okirae Special Rating District, as described on page 3260 of the New Zealand Gazette of 16th December, 1910, and comprising Otiti Block (98 acres 1 rood 27 perches), in Block XIII, Mangawhero Survey District; Mangatipona West Block A (419 acres), part D No. 1 (103 acres 1 rood 12 perches), part D No. 2 (50 acres), part E. (50 acres), G (217 acres 2 roods 13 perches), and part D No. 2A (100 acres), in Blocks I and II, Wangaehu Survey District; Mangatipona East Block, part 7 (200 acres), 2A (81¾ acres), and 2B (98 acres and 20 perches); and Pokowharo Block No. 1 (54 acres) and Subdivision 1 of 2 and part 2 (216 acres), in Block II, Wangaehu Survey District; Omuri Hori Block, part No. 1 (40 acres), No. 2 (183 acres), No. 3 (685 acres 1 rood 20 perches); No. 4A No. 1 (70 acres), part No. 4A No. 2 (40 acres), part No. 4B (482 acres), part No. 5 (200 acres), and No. 6 (320 acres and 30 perches), in Blocks I, II, V, and VI, Wangaehu Survey District; Kauangaroa Block No. 2 (162 acres), in Block V, Wangaehu Survey District; part Okirae Block (1,035 acres), No. 6, Ohaumoko (257 acres 2 roods 3 perches), and parts Okirae and Ohaumoko Blocks (together 2,042 acres 1 rood 37 perches), in Blocks XIII, XIV, and XV, Mangawhero Survey District, and II, Wangaehu Survey District; Section part CCXLVIII 175 acres), in Block II, Wangaehu Survey District; and Sections 77, 79, and part 80 (90 acres), in Block III, Wangaehu Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum.

It is hereby certified that the foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on Saturday, the 4th day of March, 1911.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate as Security for Loan of £200, Tokomaru Overbridge.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a bridge over the railway-line at Tokomaru, and the necessary approaches thereto, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/40 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable properties in the Tokomaru Overbridge Special Rating District, comprised within the following boundaries—commencing at a point where the railway-line crosses the northern boundary of the Horowhenua County; thence in an easterly direction along such boundary to the eastern boundary of Section 6 to the northern boundary of Section 7; thence along the boundary of Section 7 to its southern boundary; thence along the Tokomaru South Road to the north-east corner
