THE following resolution, made by the Kawhia County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of widening and metalling portions of the Pirongia West and Okupata Roads from the Oparau Bridge to Section 1, Block I, Pirongia Survey District, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3¾d. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Pirongia West Special Rating Area in the Kawhia County, comprising Sections 1 and 2, Block IV, Section 1 and the northern portions of Sections 2 and 3, Block VIII, Pirongia West No. 3B; Sections 2B and 2C, Blocks III, IV, VII, and VIII, Kawhia North Survey District; Sections 1, Block I, and part 1, Block V, Pirongia Survey District—bounded towards the north by the Moerangi Block; towards the east by Section 2, Block I, Pirongia Survey District; towards the south by a road; again towards the east by a line across a road, and Section 2, Block V, Pirongia Survey District; again towards the south by Section 5, Block V, Pirongia Survey District, and Section 4, Block VIII, Kawhia North Survey District; again towards the east by the said Section 4; towards the south-east by a line dividing Sections 2 and 3, Block VIII, Kawhia North Survey District; again towards the east by the southern part of the said Section 2; again towards the south by a road, a line across a road, and Pirongia West No. 3B, Section 2A; and towards the west by Pirongia West No. 3B, Section 2C, and No. 3B, Section 2E No. 2: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the rate of interest to be paid is 3½ per centum per annum, and the principal and interest shall be payable by half-yearly instalments of £2 8s. 9d. per centum, in accordance with the regulations under the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Kawhia County Council held at Kawhia on the 18th day of February, 1911.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £166.—Bowens Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a further loan of £166 (being 10 per centum of the original loan of £1,660), authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-named Act, for the purpose of acquiring, fencing, forming, culverting, and metalling Bowens Road and to regrade hill on Howies Road, and that the cost of raising the loan be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/130 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Bowens Special Rating District, as described on page 2918 of the New Zealand Gazette of 11th November, 1910, and comprising Sections 64, 65, 67, 68, 69, 73, and 78, Block IX; Section part LXXIV (16¼ acres, occupied by J. McDonell), Block X; Sections 62, 63, and 66, Block XIII; Sections part LXXI (150 acres), part LXVII (300 acres), part LXVIII (200 acres), LXXIII, CXCIV, CXCV, and CXCVI, Block XIV; part Section 54, Block IX (500 acres, occupied by H. J. Cameron); part Section 54, Block XIII (150½ acres, occupied by Mrs. Euphemia Bowen); part Section 54, Block XIII (611 acres 1 rood 38 perches, occupied by James Lourie); part Section 64, Block XIII (148 acres, occupied by W. T. Bowen); part Lot 5 on D.P. 1715, being parts Sections 41 and 54, Block XIII (217¾ acres, occupied by Frank Gould); parts Sections 54, Block IX (4 acres 2 roods 32 perches—homestead owned by Edward Newman, and 2 acres owned by Rangitikei County Council); Lots 11 and 14, Makohau Estate, being parts Sections 54 and 74 (44 acres, occupied by T. E. Kiernan), Block IX; parts Sections 54 and 74, Block IX; and part Section 77, Block X (together with 458 acres 3 roods 7 perches, occupied by Percy H. Wood); and Sections part 1 of 54, and part of part 2 of 54, and part Section 74, Block IX; and parts Sections 76, 77, and CCLXV, Block X (1,117 acres and 21 perches in all, and owned by D. M. Westland); the whole being situate in the Wangaehu Survey District: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest on such loan being at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum.

It is hereby certified that the foregoing resolution was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on Saturday, the 4th day of March, 1911.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

Resolution making Special Rate.—Loan of £100.—Williamson Road.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Williamson Road from its junction with the Makirikiri Road northwards for a distance of about 50 chains, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/5 of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Williamson Road No. 2 Special Rating District, comprising part of Section 25 (78 acres and 34 perches, occupied by G. J. Wilhelm), parts of Section 28 (50 acres occupied by G. J. Wilhelm, 100 acres occupied by Adolph Goile, and 100 acres occupied by Robert B. Ryder), parts of Section 29 (94 acres occupied by G. J. Wilhelm, and 80 acres occupied by Duncan McLean), the whole being in Block II, Rangitoto Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
