Approving of Plan of Bridge across the Wanganui River,
opposite Dublin Street, and authorizing Construction.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of March, 1911.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE JAMES CARROLL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section one hundred and fifty of the Harbours Act, 1908, that before commencing the making or construction of a harbour-work the constructing authority shall deposit at the office of the Marine Department a plan in duplicate of the whole work, showing all details of the proposed work and the mode in which it is proposed the same shall be carried out, and that if it appears to the Governor in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation he may approve the deposited plan, with or without modification or addition:
And whereas the Wanganui Borough Council and the Wanganui East Borough Council desire to construct a bridge over the Wanganui River connecting the two boroughs opposite Dublin Street:
And whereas the said boroughs have deposited at the office of the Marine Department a plan, in duplicate (four sheets), marked M.D. 3651, of the whole work, showing all the details of construction and the mode in which the same shall be carried out:
And whereas it is desirable that such plan should be approved:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the deposited plan without modification or addition, and doth hereby authorize the said Borough Councils to construct the bridge in accordance therewith.

Regulations for Deer-shooting, Ashburton Acclimatization District.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
IN exercise of the powers vested in me by the Animals Protection Act, 1908 (hereinafter called “the said Act”), I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the deer-shooting season in the Ashburton Acclimatization District, and the conditions affecting the same, and also the form of license and the fee payable therefor.
REGULATIONS.

RED-deer stags may be taken or killed within the Ashburton Acclimatization District from the 1st day of April, 1911, to the 20th day of May, 1911 (both days inclusive).

Licenses to take or kill such deer may be issued by the Postmaster at Ashburton, upon the recommendation of the secretary of the Ashburton Acclimatization Society, on payment of a license fee of £4, in the form prescribed in the Schedule hereto, and subject to the said Act and these regulations. The number of such licenses to be issued by the said Postmaster shall not exceed three: Provided that not more than one such license shall be issued to the same person.

No licensee shall take or kill more than two stags, and no stag shall be killed carrying antlers with less than eight points. Ball cartridge only to be used: Provided that no metal-patched or metal-cased bullet shall be used for killing such deer.

No hind or fawn shall be taken or killed on any pretext whatever; and no licensee shall allow any dog to accompany either himself or any attendant he may have with him.

Nothing herein contained shall extend to authorizing any person to sell any deer or portion thereof.

All regulations as to deer “tags” in force within the said district shall be strictly adhered to by each licensee.

Any person committing a breach of any of these regulations shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding £20.
