THE following special order was duly confirmed at a meeting of the Pukekohe Town Board held on 1st March, 1911:—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Pukekohe Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £13,000, authorized to be raised by the Pukekohe Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the installation of a water-supply, recreation-ground, and road-improvement within the district, the said Pukekohe Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound on the capital value of all the rateable property within the Pukekohe Town District; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HUNTLY TOWN BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Huntly Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Huntly Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of surveying, forming, and metalling the Great South Road, and kerbing and tarring and sanding footpaths, the said Huntly Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/12 of a penny in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Huntly Town District, comprising the whole of the Town District of Huntly; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was duly passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Huntly Town Board held on the 2nd February, 1911, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Board held on the 2nd March, 1911.
The common seal of the Inhabitants of the Huntly Town District was hereunto affixed this 2nd day of March, 1911, in the presence of—

THE following resolution, made by the Wainono Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

WAINONO DRAINAGE BOARD.
Resolution making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act Amendment Act, 1910, the Wainono Drainage Board resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorized to be raised by the Wainono Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Acts, for rebuilding the outlet culvert connecting the Waihao River with the sea, the said Wainono Drainage Board hereby makes and levies upon all property rateable for the purposes of the Land Drainage Act, 1908, within the Wainono Drainage District a special rate of 1/7 of a penny in the pound on all land in the said district classified as first-class land, 1/10 of a penny in the pound on all land in the said district classified as second-class land, and 1/16 of a penny in the pound on all land in the said district classified as third-class land; and that such special rates shall be annual-recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Wainono Drainage Board held on the 25th day of February, 1911.

THE following resolution, made by the Westport Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments.

RESOLUTION PASSED BY THE WESTPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power in that behalf enabling it, the Westport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Westport Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for increasing and improving the present water-supply, the said Westport Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Westport; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Westport Borough Council held on the 22nd day of February, 1911.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Invercargill, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF INVERCARGILL.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Invercargill taken on the 24th day of February, 1911, on the proposal of the Invercargill Borough Council to borrow the sum of £44,500 and the sum of £7,500, making together the sum of £52,000, for the purposes mentioned and set forth in the said proposal which was published in the Southland Daily News newspaper on the 13th, 20th, and 27th days of January, 1911, and the 3rd day of February, 1911, the number of valid votes recorded for the proposal was 325, and the number of valid votes recorded against the proposal was 155. Total number of valid votes recorded, 480. Total number of informal votes, 1.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.
