At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day
of March, 1911.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-
second day of August, one thousand eight hun-
dred and ninety-eight, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette No. 64, of the twenty-fifth day of the same month,
a license was granted to the Kauri Freehold Gold Estates
(Limited) to use and occupy a portion of the foreshore and
land below low water in Whangapoua Harbour, in order to
construct and maintain thereon a wharf in the position
shown on plan marked M.D. 2194, deposited in the office
of the Marine Department, at Wellington, and upon and
subject to the terms and conditions therein set forth:
And whereas the said license has, with the consent of
the Minister of Marine, been transferred to Samuel Walter
Perry Peddle, of Whangapoua, and it is desirable that it
should be revoked:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion,
and in exercise of all the powers enabling him in that be-
half, doth hereby revoke and determine the said recited
Order in Council of the twenty-second day of August, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, and the rights
and privileges thereby conferred.

Authorizing the Acquisition, Alienation, or Disposition of
Native Land, notwithstanding the Provisions (as to
Limitation of Area) of Part XII of the Native Land
Act, 1909.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day
of March, 1911.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section two hundred and three of the
Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that the
Governor may by Order in Council, in any case in which
he deems it expedient in the public interest so to do,
authorize any acquisition, alienation, or disposition of
Native land or of any interest therein, notwithstanding
any of the provisions of Part XII (relating to limitation
of area) of the aforementioned Act:
And whereas it is expedient that authority be granted
for the acquisition, alienation, or disposition of the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding any
of the provisions of Part XII of the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby
authorize the acquisition, alienation, or disposition of the
land mentioned in the Schedule hereto, notwithstanding
any of the provisions of Part XII (relating to limitation
of area) of the Native Land Act, 1909. And it is hereby
declared that this Order in Council is made under the
provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909,
and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor
in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.
SCHEDULE.
All those pieces or parcels of land, situate in the Kai-
whata Survey District, together containing 2 acres, more
or less, being the land known as Ngapuketurua Subdi-
vision 5B Nos. 1 and 2, and being the land which is more
particularly delineated and set out on a plan deposited
in the office of the District Land Registrar, at Wellington,
and numbered 94/393.

Vesting Lands in Maori Land Board under Section 5 of
the Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1910.
ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day
of March, 1911.
Present:
His Excellency The Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section five of the Native Land Claims
Adjustment Act, 1910, it is provided that the
Governor may, on the recommendation of the Native
Land Court, by Order in Council vest any portion of any
block of Native land, not exceeding in any one case an
area of five acres, which in the opinion of the Native
Minister is suitable as a site for a fruit-preserving factory,
dairy factory, cheese-factory, or creamery, or for any build-
ing required for any religious, charitable, educational, or
public purpose, in the Maori Land Board of the district
in which the land is situated, for an estate in fee-simple
in possession, subject to all valid encumbrances, liens, and
interests affecting the same, to be held and administered
by the Board for the benefit of the Maori owners, and
the said land shall vest in the Board accordingly:
And whereas the Native Land Court has under date the
fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and
eleven, recommended that the land particularized and set
out in the Schedule hereto should be dealt with under
section five of the Native Land Claims Adjustment Act,
1910, as a site for buildings for religious purposes, to wit,
as a site for a church and vicarage in connection with the
Church of England:
And whereas the Native Minister is of opinion that it
is expedient so to do:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the
Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Execu-
tive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare
that the said land shall vest in the Tairawhiti District
Maori Land Board as a site for buildings for religious
purposes.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel or piece of land, situate in the Clyde
Survey District, containing 3 acres, more or less, being
portion of Taumata-o-te-o Block, and bounded as follows:
Bounded towards the north by the Ruataniwha Road,
about 890 links; towards the south by an unsurveyed line
of road generally called Taumata-o-te-o Road, about 880
links; and towards the west by other portion of Taumata-
o-te-o Block, about 750 links (the latter line cutting off
the required area of 3 acres).

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth
day of March, 1911.

The Honourable James Carroll Presiding in Council.
WHEREAS it is enacted by section seven of the
Harbours Amendment Act, 1910 (hereinafter called
“the said Act”), that in any case where by the said Act
or any special Act one or more members of a Harbour
Board are to be elected by all or by some only of the
electors of two or more local authorities jointly (herein-
after referred to as a combined district), the Governor
shall by Order in Council select and appoint one of those
