Otatau River from the south-west corner of Section 1,
Block 9, North Otatau, at the point where the river
protective works end, as set out in the application from
the Otatau River District, Subdivision No. 2, for a
similar loan, and continuing to the northern boundary of
Section 13, Aparima Estate, at the intersection of the
Otatau River with the main Otatau–Clifden Road, where
that river is spanned by the bridge known as Walker’s
Bridge; also for the purchase of any land needed in pro-
secuting the work, and to pay the engineer for services in
surveying, preparing plans and specifications, and the
costs incidental to raising the loan, and the first year’s
interest; the said Otatau River Board hereby makes and
levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound on the rateable
value of the property, comprising 2,086 acres 1 rood 27
perches, more or less, and being all that area in the South-
land Land District situated in Aparima Hundred, being
Allotments Nos. 7, 8, 9, and 13 (L.T. Plan 120), and
Sections 13, 14, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43,
and a closed road 46, 47, 48, and 49, Block 2, and Sec-
tions 30B, 47, 48, 49, and 50, Block 3—commencing at the
north-western corner of said Section 49, Block 3; bounded
thence by a road easterly to the Otatau River; thence
by that river to a point opposite the northern boundary of
said Section 30B; thence by a line due east to the northern
corner of said Section 46, Block 2; thence by the north-
eastern boundary of that section and road-line to the
north-western corner of said Section 42, Block 2; thence
by a road-line to the northernmost corner of said Sec-
tion 43, Block 2; thence by the north-eastern boundaries
of that section, Section 38, and closed road to a public
road forming the north-western boundary of Section 26,
Block 2; thence by that road continued to the south-east
corner of said Section 14, Block 2; thence by the southern
boundary of that section continued to the western bank of
the Otatau River; thence southerly by that bank to a
road forming the eastern boundary of said Allotment
No. 13 (L.T. Plan 120); thence by that road and by the
southern and western boundaries of that allotment and
by the western boundary of said Section 13 produced to
the south-western corner of said Allotment No. 9; thence
by the road forming the south-western boundary of said
Allotments Nos. 9, 8, and 7 to the north-western corner
of the last-mentioned allotment; thence by the road form-
ing the north-western boundary of Allotment No. 7 afore-
said to a point opposite the south-western corner of said
Section 47, Block 3; thence by a road-line to the point of
commencement: and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is
fully paid off, as provided for by the provisions of the
New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909.

Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Blenheim.

THE following resolution, made by the Blenheim
Borough Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and
its amendments.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Resolution made by the Council of the Borough of Blenheim.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the
Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by
the Blenheim Borough Council, under the above-mentioned
Act, for the extension of present system of gasworks mains
(including purchase of mains and laying same), the said
Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1/15 of a penny in the pound upon the
unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the
Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be
an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 15th day of March and
the 15th day of September in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six
years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Borough Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and
its amendments.

BOROUGH OF DANNEVIRKE.

Resolution by Council of the Borough of Dannevirke making Special Rate for Repayment of Loan, under Section 4 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the
Dannevirke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized
to be raised by the Dannevirke Borough Council, under
the above-mentioned Act, for sewerage extension as ap-
proved by the Minister of Public Health, the said Danne-
virke Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 3/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the
rateable property in the Borough of Dannevirke as ap-
pearing on the valuation roll; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
January and the 1st day of July in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-
six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off,
and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to
a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said
Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is £3 10s.
per centum per annum, with the addition of a sinking
fund of £1 7s. 6d. per centum per annum, the whole loan
to be raised under Part IV of the New Zealand State-
guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, and to be repayable by
seventy-three half-yearly payments of £2 8s. 9d. for every
£100 of such loan. It is proposed to pay out of the loan
the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking
fund for the first year.

and carried at a special meeting of the Dannevirke
Borough Council held on the 24th day of February, 1911.
