THE Waipu Road Board, in pursuance of the provisions
of the Noxious Weeds Act, 1908, hereby resolves by way
of special order to declare gorse, Canadian thistle, black-
berry, and ragwort to be noxious weeds within its district.

THE following resolution, made by the Pohangina
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its
amendments.

POHANGINA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Resolution making Special Rate under Section 4 of the
Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the
Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Local
Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other
power enabling it in that behalf so to do, the Council of
the County of Pohangina hereby resolves by way of special
order: That, for the purpose of providing interest, sink-
ing fund, and other charges on a loan of £290, authorized
to be raised by the said Council of County of Pohangina,
under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of pro-
viding the said Council’s proportion of the cost of con-
structing a bridge and approaches thereto over the Oroua
River, on London’s Road, known as London’s Ford, as
set forth in the Governor’s Warrant gazetted on page 2085
of the New Zealand Gazette No. 65, of the 12th day of
August, 1909, the said Council of the County of Pohangina
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1/16 of a penny
in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all the
undermentioned rateable property in the Coal Creek
Riding, being Sections 124, 125, 126, 127, 128, 130, and
132, Block XIV, Apiti Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3,
4, and 5, Block XV, Apiti Survey District; Sections 7,
9, 10, 12, 13, and 131, Block II, Pohangina Survey Dis-
trict; Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, and 8, Block III, Pohangina
Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an
annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February
and the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six
years and a half, or until such loan is fully paid off, the
interest of such loan being £3 10s. per centum per annum.
The foregoing resolution was duly proposed, seconded,
and carried at a special meeting of the Pohangina County
Council held on the 11th day of February, 1911.

River Board, are published in accordance with the

OTATAU RIVER DISTRICT, SUBDIVISION NO. 2.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THE following special order was adopted at a meeting of
the Otatau River Board held on the 10th day of January,
1911, and confirmed at a meeting held on 10th February,
1911 :—
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the
Otatau River Board hereby resolves as follows: That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on the loan of £900, authorized to be raised by the Otatau
River Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for channel-
ling, embankments, widening, deepening, straightening, re-
moving obstructions, and raising the flood protective works
on the Otatau River from its junction with the Aparima
River to the western boundary of Section 1, Block 9, North
Otatau; also for the purchase of any lands needed for
prosecuting the work; further, to pay the cost of the
engineer’s services in surveying and preparing plans and
specifications, the costs incidental to raising the loan, and
the first year’s interest; the said Otatau River Board
hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound
on the rateable value of the property in the Otatau
Town District, comprising 860 acres, more or less, as
described on page 1819 of New Zealand Gazette No. 136,
of 27th December, 1883, and being all the area in the Pro-
vincial District of Otago bounded towards the north by
Section 14, Block 2, Aparima Hundred, and the southern
boundary of that section produced across a railway re-
serve; thence towards the south-west by the railway
reserve to a point in line with the southern boundary-line
of Section 15, Block 2, Aparima Hundred; thence again
towards the north by a right line to and by that boundary-
line of said Section 15 to the Aparima River; thence to-
wards the east generally by the Aparima River, Sec-
tion 5, Block 2, Aparima Hundred, and the northern
boundary of that section produced across the Otatau
River; thence by that river to the southern side of Nant-
wich Street; thence again by Section 5, Block 2, Aparima
Hundred, a road-line, and Section 21, Block 1, Aparima
Hundred, to a point in line with the northern boundary-
line of Allotment No. 19, Aparima Estate; thence towards
the south generally by a right line to and by the northern
boundary of the said Allotment No. 19 and by Allotment
No. 20, across a line, and by Allotment No. 72 of the said
Aparima Estate; and thence towards the west generally
by Allotment No. 71, Aparima Estate, Sections 2 and 11,
Block 2, Aparima Hundred, and the eastern boundary-line
of the last-named section produced across the Otatau
River; thence by the Otatau River to Section 14, Block 2,
Aparima Hundred: as the same is delineated on the plans
in the Survey Office, Invercargill: and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of
September in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half,
or until the loan is fully paid off, as provided for by the
provisions of the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances
Act, 1909.
