District; thence by the southern, western, and northern boundaries of the said Section 5, Block VIII, to the boundary of Section 2B, Block V, Mangawhero Survey District; thence by the western boundaries of Sections 2 and 1 and the northern boundaries of Section 1, and the Ohineti Block, to the western boundary of Section 8, Block I, Mangawhero Survey District; thence by the western boundaries of Sections 8, 8, and 2, Block I, Mangawhero Survey District, and the western boundaries of Sections 3, 2, and 1, Block XIII, Ngamatea Survey District; thence along the southern and western boundaries of Section 2A and the western boundary of Section 1A, both of Tauakira No. 2A Block, to the boundary of the Tauakira No. 2E Block; thence by the southern, western, and northern boundaries of the Tauakira No. 2E Block to the south-western corner of Section 2, Block IX, Ngamatea Survey District; thence by the western boundary of the said Section 2 to the point of commencement: and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Wanganui County Council held on the 6th day of January, 1911, and was confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 3rd day of February, 1911.

PALMERSTON NORTH BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Proposal to raise Two Special Loans under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.
We hereby give notice that on the 3rd day of February, 1911, proposals were submitted by the Palmerston North Borough Council to a poll of ratepayers of the Palmerston North Borough for raising special loans of £6,500 and £5,500 respectively, particulars of which proposals have been duly advertised in a newspaper circulating in the said borough, and that the votes recorded respectively for and against the said proposals were as follows: To raise the dam at the head of the waterworks at Tiritea to a height of 50 ft., to provide additional storage of water: For, 230; against, 195. To provide and fix mechanical filters to the borough water-supply: For, 240; against, 184.
As, in respect of both the above proposals, the number of votes recorded in favour exceeded the number of votes recorded against the same, we hereby declare the said proposals carried.

Proposal to raise a Loan of £8,000 under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.—Result of Poll.
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that at a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Dannevirke taken on the 26th day of October, 1910, on the proposal of the Dannevirke Borough Council to borrow the sum of £8,000 for the erection and construction of a town hall, with shops on frontage thereto, and furnishing and equipment of same, together with cost of land, the number of votes recorded for the proposal was 283; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 176; informal votes, 4.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON PROPOSAL TO RAISE A LOAN.
Pursuant to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Waerenga (subdivision) Special Rating District of the Whangamarino Road District was taken on the 3rd day of February, 1911, on the proposal of the Whangamarino Road Board to borrow the sum of £4,300, for forming, bridging, earthworks, metalling roads, and paying off bank overdraft.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 90. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
