IN pursuance of the power and authority conferred upon me by section 15 of the Land Act, 1908, I, Joseph George Ward, Minister of Lands, do hereby authorize the laying-off of Tawai, Ararino, and Totara Roads, in the Town of Mawaihakona, Wellington Land District, of a width of not less than 66 ft. instead of 99 ft.

Notice of the Taking and Laying-off of a Road in Section 3, Block VI, Waro Survey District, Taranaki Land District.
NOTICE is hereby given, by direction of His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, under the authority of section 14 of the Land Act, 1908, that the road described in the Schedule hereto was duly taken and laid off through the land specified in the said Schedule, under the authority of the Governor of the said Dominion, by Warrant dated the 30th day of July, 1910.

Notifying Land in the Canterbury Land District subject to the Land for Settlements Act, 1908.

PURSUANT to the provisions of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, and its amendments, I hereby notify that the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as the Stoke Settlement, which has been acquired under the said Act, is subject to the said Acts as from 13th January, 1911.
SCHEDULE.
STOKE SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 980 acres, more or less, situate in Block VIII, Mairaki, and V, Rangiora Survey Districts, and being Rural Sections numbered 3352, 3645, and parts of Rural Sections 2346, 2896, 3773, and 3774, being all the land comprised in certificate of title 121, folio 252, District Land Registry Office, Christchurch; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 19418, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured pink.

Alterations to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government Railways Act, 1908, I, John Andrew Millar, Minister of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in the scale of fares, rates, and charges in force on the New Zealand Government railways open for traffic, such alterations to come into force on and after the 13th day of February, 1911.

(3.) CLASS E.
Cancel—
The maximum weight of wheat, barley, or oats contained in any one sack to be carried by railway shall be 200 lb. Any sack of wheat, barley, or oats containing a greater weight than 200 lb. shall be charged four times the ordinary rate of freight.
Insert—
- The maximum weight of any class of cereal or other agricultural produce (potatoes excepted) contained in any one sack to be carried by railway shall be 200 lb.
The maximum weight of potatoes contained in any one sack to be carried by railway shall be 224 lb.
Any sack of any class of cereal or other agricultural produce (potatoes excepted) containing a greater weight than 200 lb. shall be charged for at the rate of 10s. per ton in addition to the ordinary railage charges.
