Special Orders made by the Council of the Borough of Petone.

THE following special orders, made by the Petone Borough Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order raising Special Loan of £26,200.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, and of every other power in that behalf it enabling, the Council of the Borough of Petone hereby by special order resolves as follows :—
(a.) That the Council do raise a special loan of £26,200, repayable in Sydney, New South Wales, on the 13th day of February, 1921, at a rate of interest not exceeding 4¼ per cent. per annum, payable half-yearly, free of exchange, in Sydney, New South Wales, for the purpose (together with accrued sinking funds) of paying off the principal moneys of the following special loans heretofore lawfully raised by the said Council :—
The Drainage and Street Improvement Debenture Loan, 1896 … … … … £ 4,000
The Street Improvement Loan, 1901 … … … … 7,000
The Gasworks Loan No. 2, 1891 … … … … 2,000
The Gasworks Loan No. 3, 1892 … … … … 8,000
The Municipal Building Loan, 1905 … … … … 5,000
The Hutt Road Reconstruction Loan, 1905 … … 1,000
The Hutt Bridge Loan, 1905 … … … … 500
And, further, that, for the purpose of providing a sinking fund for the repayment of the said special loan of £26,200, the Council do pay to the Public Trustee as Sinking Fund Commissioner 1 per centum per annum, free of exchange, in the City of Wellington, on the total amount of the said special loan of £26,200, payable half-yearly, to form such sinking fund.
(b.) That the said special loans heretofore raised be paid off.
(c.) That the security for the repayment of the said special loan of £26,200, and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon, be a special annual-recurring rate of 4¹⁷⁄₂₄d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Petone, comprising the whole of the said borough, and a first charge on the municipal buildings of the borough, and the lands whereon the said buildings are erected, situate in Jackson Street, in the said borough.
It is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan nor the interest for the first year.
I certify that the above special order was passed at a duly convened special meeting of the Council held on the 22nd day of December, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting held 20th January, 1911.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order raising Special Loan of £12,000.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the amendments of both these Acts respectively, the Petone Borough Council does hereby resolve by way of special order to borrow, by way of special loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, the sum of £12,000, to be expended in repaying the undernoted existing and lawfully raised loans, namely :—

The said loan of £12,000 to be repaid on the 13th February, 1921. It is not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan nor the interest for the first year. The security for the repayment of the loan, and for the payment of annual interest and sinking fund charges thereon, to be a first charge on the Municipal Gasworks, Petone, and a special annually recurring rate of ¼d. in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property within the whole of the Borough of Petone.
I certify that the above special order was passed at a duly convened special meeting of the Petone Borough Council held on the 22nd day of December, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting held 20th January, 1911.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Dannevirke.

THE following special order, made by the Dannevirke Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF DANNEVIRKE.
Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Dannevirke.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Dannevirke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by the Dannevirke Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the erection and construction of a town hall, the said Dannevirke Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Dannevirke, comprising the whole of the said borough ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
Made by special order passed at a special meeting of the Council of the Borough of Dannevirke held on the 11th day of November, 1910, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Council held on the 9th day of December, 1910.

THE following special order, made by the Wanganui County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Wanganui County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Wanganui County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling a portion of Barton-Field–Parapara–Raetihi Road between the 14-mile peg and the Okapua Stream, the said Wanganui County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Barton–Field–Parapara–Raetihi Road Loan Special Rating Area, comprising all that portion of the Mangawhero Riding bounded by the Waimarino County from the north-western corner of Section 2, Block IX, Ngamatea Survey District, to the boundary of the Mangamahu Riding ; thence by the western boundary of the Mangamahu Riding to the south-eastern corner of No. 3, Pikopiko Block ; thence by the southern and western boundaries of the said No. 3, Pikopiko Block, to the boundary of the Te-ara-te-waka No. 1 Block ; thence by the south-eastern, southern, western, and north-western boundaries of the said Te-ara-te-waka No. 1 Block and the north-western boundary of the Te-ara-te-waka No. 2 Block, the south-western and north-western boundaries of the Makuao Block, and the western boundary of the Otumoa No. 2A Block to the boundary of Section 5, Block VIII, Waipukara Survey
