Tramway District as described in the First Schedule to the Christchurch Tramway District Act, 1906, from Sutherland’s Road to Rural Section No. 1935; thence towards the north-east generally by that section and Rural Sections Nos. 2045 and 34655 to the road at the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by that road to the northern boundary of Rural Section No. 12607; thence by that section and the road forming part of the western boundary of the said Section No. 12607 to Summit Road; thence towards the south-east and south generally by Summit Road to its junction with Dyer’s Pass Road; thence by the last-mentioned road to a point opposite the northernmost corner of Rural Section No. 9814; thence across that road and by the said Section No. 9814 to the southernmost corner of Rural Section No. 34652; thence towards the west generally by Rural Sections Nos. 31528, 31362, and 2063 to a point on the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section distant 500 links from Dyer’s Pass Road; thence by a line parallel to and 500 links distant from that road to the southern boundary of the land shown on Plan No. 2159, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Christchurch; thence again towards the south generally by the southern boundary of the said land to the westernmost corner of Allotment No. 77 on the said Plan No. 2159; thence again towards the south generally by a right line to the southernmost corner of Rural Section No. 1335; thence by the production of the south-eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section to the western side of the road intersecting Rural Section No. 383; thence by that road and the road forming the northern boundary of Rural Section No. 1325 to the north-eastern corner of Rural Section No. 502; thence by the last-mentioned section to the road at its north-western corner; thence across and by that road and the road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section No. 1324 and forming the western boundary of Rural Section No. 1944, to the road forming the north-western boundary of Rural Section No. 338B; thence by the last-mentioned road and Hoon Hay Road to Sutherland’s Road; and thence again towards the west by Sutherland’s Road to the place of commencement.

Vesting Plantation Reserves in the Ashburton County Council.


ISLINGTON, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of January, 1911.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for plantation purposes: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Ashburton County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Ashburton County, in trust, for plantation purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 33 acres 3 roods 26 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 2945, situated in Block VIII, Rangitata Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Lot No. 11x, Reserve 1381; towards the south-east by a road reserve; and towards the north-west by Rural Section 31453x: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/10A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 46 acres 3 roods 37 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 2779, situated in Block VI, Westerfield Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Rural Section 36314; towards the south-west by Rural Section 29225; towards the south-east by Rural Sections 36439, 36440, 36441, and 36442; and towards the

north by a road: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/10B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres and 27 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3352, situated in Block III, Shepherds Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Lot 25, D.P. 1084, Block III aforesaid; towards the west by a road-line; towards the south-west by Lot 24, Hekeao Settlement; and towards the east by a road-line: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/10C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 10 acres and 9 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3353, situated in Block III, Shepherds Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Lot 26, D.P. 1084, Block III aforesaid; towards the west by a road-line; towards the south-east by Lot 22, Hekeao Settlement; and towards the north-east by a road-line: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/10C, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods 11 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3356, situated in Block VII, Shepherds Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east and south-east by Lot 10, Hekeao Settlement; towards the south-west by the road forming the south-western boundary of Lot 10, Hekeao Settlement; and towards the north-west by the road east of Lot 9 of the same settlement; save and except a road-line which is included in the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/10D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 18 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3357, situated in Block VII, Shepherds Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the south-east by Lot 7, Hekeao Settlement; towards the north-east by the road forming the south-western boundary of Lot 10 of the same settlement; towards the north-west by Reserve 3358 and Lot 8, Hekeao Settlement; and towards the south-west by the said Lot 8: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/10D, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 15 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3054, situated in Block XII, Shepherd’s Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by a road-line, towards the south-east by Rural Section 29759, and towards the south-west by a road-line; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/6A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 26 perches, more or less, being Reserve No. 3055, situated in Block XIII, Shepherd’s Bush Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by Rural Section 30069, towards the south-east by Rural Section 34205, and towards the south-west by a road-line; as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 25373/6B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
