vested in him by section four of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that the purpose of the public reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same is hereby changed from a site for a pound to a site for municipal offices and fire-brigade station: And by and with the like advice and consent, doth hereby declare that the said reserve shall become and the same is hereby vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Northcote, in trust, as a site for municipal offices and fire-brigade station.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 20 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 of subdivision of parts of Allotments 52 and 53, Parish of Takapuna. Bounded towards the north-east by Bay Road, 110 links; towards the east by Great North Road, 55Β·5 links; towards the south by Pearl Street, 130 links; towards the west and north-west by Lot 2 of subdivision of Allotments 52 and 53, Parish of Takapuna, a distance of 77 links in each case: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5271/11B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Consenting to closing a Road in Block VII, Puniu Survey District, Waipa County.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of January, 1911.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection (a) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that a local authority shall not declare any county road or district road to be stopped, and such road shall not be deemed to be stopped, until the consent thereto of the Governor by Order in Council gazetted is obtained:
And whereas the Rangiaohia Road Board has applied for such consent in respect to the road described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in any-wise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Rangiaohia Road Board closing the road mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

Exempting Road in Block IV, Wyndham Survey District, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this ninth day of January, 1911.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas on the fourteenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and ten, the Southland County Council, the local authority having control of the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said portion of road:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution in so far as it affects the said portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Southland County, Southland Land District, commencing at the boundary between Sections F.R. 6 and 43, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally through Section 43, between Sections 43 and 34, through part of Section 24, and between Section 43 and Sections 42 and 24, all in Block IV, Wyndham Survey District; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 27871, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
