Land taken for Agricultural Show-grounds in Block III, Waitemata Survey District, Waitemata County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, under the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1910, for a certain public work, to wit, for the purposes of agricultural show-grounds in Block III, Waitemata Survey District:
And whereas the Waitemata County Council has laid before the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Counties Act, 1908, the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1910, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the said agricultural show-grounds, and shall vest in the Waitemata County Council as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and eleven.

Land reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), a Scenery Preservation Board is constituted, and it is enacted that such Board shall, when so directed by the Minister charged for the time being with the administration of the said Act, inspect any lands possessing scenic or historic interest, or on which there are thermal springs, and make inquiries respecting the same, and report to the Governor; and shall from time to time recommend what lands, whether Crown or private, shall be permanently reserved as scenic, thermal, or historic reserves: And whereas the said Board was duly directed to inspect and report on the land described in the Schedule hereunder, and has recommended that the said land should be permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers contained in the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereunder shall be a scenic reserve under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
MOUNT CARGILL SCENIC RESERVE (ADDITION).
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by admeasurement 18 acres, more or less, being parts of Sections Nos. 62 and 63, Block VII, North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a right line parallel to and 150 links distant from the northern boundary of Section No. 62 aforesaid, distance 2323·7 links; towards the south-east by a right line bearing 197° 1′, distance 1051·8 links; towards the south by a right line bearing 270°, distance 1036·6 links; towards the west by a right line bearing 360°, distance 400 links; again towards the south by a right line bearing 270°, distance 979·3 links; and again towards the west by a right line bearing 360°, distance 605·2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 55/19, deposited at the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the public reserve described in the Schedule hereto is vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Northcote, in trust, as a site for a pound:
And whereas the said reserve is set apart for one of the purposes named in Class I of the Second Schedule to the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, and in the opinion of the Governor it is expedient to change the purpose of the said reserve to another of the purposes named in the said Class I, as hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities
