Special Order made by the Raupo Drainage Board.

THE following special order, made by the Raupo Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

RAUPO DRAINAGE BOARD.

Special Order striking Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Raupo Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Raupo Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for making new drains and widening others, the said Raupo Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Raupo Drainage District, comprising the whole of the Raupo Drainage District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 19th day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above special order was approved of at a special meeting of the Raupo Drainage Board held on Tuesday, 15th November, 1910, and confirmed and the Board’s seal set thereto at an ordinary meeting held on Saturday, 17th December, 1910.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Coromandel.

THE following special order, made by the Coromandel County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

COROMANDEL COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order re Loan to wipe out Overdraft.

THAT the Coromandel County Council do make the following special order:—

That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act, 1908, and by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Coromandel County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of paying and clearing off the bank overdraft of £2,868 18s. 11d. existing on the 31st day of March, 1904, lawfully incurred with the Bank of New Zealand by the said Council in connection with carrying out the general purposes for which the said Council has been duly authorized by law, the said Coromandel County Council hereby authorizes the raising of a special loan of £2,868 18s. 11d.; and to make an annually recurring rate of 3/16d. in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Coromandel County as security for the interest and sinking fund in connection with such special loan. The whole of the loan to be payable at the expiration of twenty-six years from the date of raising the loan.

I, Samuel James, Chairman of the Coromandel County Council, do hereby certify that the above special order was duly made and passed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 17th day of October, 1910; and was duly confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held on the 22nd day of November, 1910.

In testimony whereof the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Coromandel County has been hereunto affixed.

Special Order made by the Mackenzie Town Board.

THE following special order, made by the Mackenzie Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

MACKENZIE TOWN BOARD.

Special Order made by the Mackenzie Town Board.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Mackenzie Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £100, authorized to be raised by the Mackenzie Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for providing material for a sanitary service, the said Mackenzie Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅛d. in the pound upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property of the Town District of Mackenzie, comprising the whole of the Town District of Mackenzie; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing special order was made by the Mackenzie Town Board at a special meeting held on 28th November, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Town Board held on 28th December, 1910.

The common seal of the Chairman, Commissioners, and Inhabitants of the Mackenzie Town Board District was affixed hereunto in the presence of—

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Avondale Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

AVONDALE ROAD BOARD.

In the matter of a Proposal to raise a Special Loan of £15,500 under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

I HEREBY give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Avondale District, on the above proposal, was taken on Saturday, the 17th December, 1910, at the Board’s Office, Blake Street, Avondale, with the following result: For the proposal, 127; against the proposal, 68; informal vote, 1.

I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

I HEREBY give notice that on the 21st day of December, 1910, a proposal was submitted by the City Council of Dunedin to the ratepayers of the said city for raising a special loan of £10,000 for the purpose of constructing public baths, with the necessary buildings, plant, and fittings for the same; and that the numbers of votes
