visions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendments, for the purpose of constructing a bridge over an arm of the Manukau Harbour, with all necessary embankments and approaches, connecting a road proposed to be laid out and dedicated on the property hereinafter described with a road extending to Otahuhu proposed to be laid out and dedicated on and over the property on the other side of such arm of such harbour, the said Mangere Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the special rating area, the boundaries and description of which are as follows—all that piece of land in the Provincial District of Auckland, situated in the Parish of Manurewa and County of Eden, containing by admeasurement 307 acres, more or less, being part of Allotment No. 49 of the said parish. Bounded towards the north and north-east by the Manukau Harbour; towards the south-east by other part of said Allotment No. 49, conveyed to one David Scott Robertson by deed of conveyance registered in the Deeds Register Office, at Auckland, under No. 67659, 3241 links; towards the south-west by a road, 3525 links; again towards the east by a road, 1056 links; and again towards the south-west by a line, 1814 links; and towards the north-west by the Manukau Harbour: and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, and the rate of interest to be paid to cover both interest and redemption not to exceed £5 per centum per annum until the loan is fully paid off; and it is the intention to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the same and the first year’s interest thereon.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with the Road Boards Act, 1908.

Special Order made by the Waipipi Road Board, County of Manukau.

THE following special order, made by the Waipipi Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

WAIPUPI ROAD DISTRICT.

THE following special order was made at a special meeting of the Waipipi Road Board held on Saturday, 19th November, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held on Saturday, 17th December, 1910:—

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Waipipi Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Waipipi Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the unmetalled portion of the Otama-Aka Aka Road between the place known as the Willows on the Otama Stream and by Lot 102, Waiuku West Parish, to the south-western corner of Lot 226, Waiuku East Parish, the said Waipipi Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Awaroa Special Rating Area, comprising Lots 101, 102, 103, 133, 135, Waiuku West Parish, and Lots 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, 185, 186, 187, 188, 203, 230, 231, 232, 233, and the southern portion of Lot 207 of Waiuku East Parish, the boundaries of such special area being—commencing at the mouth of the Otama Stream on the Waikato River, and following up the course of the stream northwards to the north-western corner of Lot 135, Waiuku West Parish; thence by the northern boundary of that allotment eastwards to the Awaroa Stream, and following up the course of the Awaroa Stream to the centre of Lot 207, Waiuku East Parish; and then by a straight line through Lot 207 to Lot 230, thence circling round by the western, northern, and eastern boundary of Lot 230, and southwards generally by the eastern boundaries of Lots 231, 232, 183, 182, 181, and 182 of the Waiuku East Parish: thence by the Wai-kato River to the point of commencement at the mouth of the Otama Stream: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above special order was made in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

PURIMU ROAD BOARD.

Special Order.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Purimu Road Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £4,500, authorized to be raised by the Purimu Road Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land, forming roads, and erecting bridges, the said Purimu Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 81/200 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all the rateable property of the whole of the Purimu Road District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Akaroa.

THE following special order, made by the Akaroa Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

AKAROA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Akaroa Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,000, authorized to be raised by the Akaroa Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of installing electric light in the said borough, and for making and constructing a reservoir for the storage of water to supply the necessary power, and for other necessary works in connection therewith, the said Akaroa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Akaroa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

We hereby certify that the foregoing special order was made by the Akaroa Borough Council at a special meeting held on the 15th day of November, 1910, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 21st day of December, 1910.
