the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £700, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing a road from The Forks, Otaki Gorge, to the boundary of Section 2, Block XII, Kaitawa Survey District, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties in the Otaki Gorge Road Extension Special Rating District, comprising Sections 7 and 8, Block VIII, Kaitawa Survey District; Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Block XII, Kaitawa Survey District; and Sections 1, 2, part 3, 4, part 5, Block XVI, Kaitawa Survey District: as the same is shown on the plan and coloured red: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a special order adopted at a special meeting of the Horowhenua County Council held on the 10th September, 1910, and confirmed at a meeting held on the 8th October, 1910.

Special Order.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of constructing water-races in the Horowhenua Water-race District Extension, the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/13d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties in the Horowhenua Water-race District Extension Special Rating District, comprising Sections 1 to 14, 19 to 35, all inclusive (D.P. 2291), and Section 4c, Horowhenua 3B Block II, Waiopehu; as the same is shown on the plan and coloured red : and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangiora Borough Council duly made and adopted the following special order at a duly convened special meeting held on Friday, the 30th day of
September, 1910, and confirmed the same at a duly convened ordinary meeting on Friday, the 28th day of October, 1910 :
The Rangiora Borough Council, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, hereby resolves by special order: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on the special loan of £2,500, called the Ashley Traffic-bridge Loan, authorized to be raised, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of providing the Rangiora Borough Council's share of the cost of constructing a bridge over the Ashley River and the approaches thereto, as described in a Warrant dated the 22nd day of June, 1910, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Rangiora; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate payable half-yearly on the 31st day of March and the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Arai Riding of Cook County was taken on the 18th day of October, 1910, on the proposal of the Cook County Council to raise a loan of £10,000 for a series of works in the Arai Riding.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 61. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 95. I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

BOROUGH OF RANGIORA.
Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Rangiora was taken on the 24th day of October, 1910, on the proposal of the Rangiora Borough Council to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of providing extensions and enlargements to the present municipal gasworks.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 62. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
