MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate for Repayment of Loan.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Marton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by the Marton Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for installing a sewerage system for the Borough of Marton, including pipes, sewers, septic tanks, and purchase of land for outward sewer, the said Marton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 6d. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole of the Borough of Marton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off; and the same is hereby confirmed.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Westport.

THE following special order, made by the Westport Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WESTPORT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and by virtue of a Warrant dated the 30th day of September, 1909, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor in terms of section 119 of the Public Works Act, 1908, the Westport Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the Westport Borough Council’s share of the cost of constructing a bridge over the Orowaiti River at the continuation of Brougham Street, known as the Orowaiti Traffic-bridge, the Westport Borough Council hereby authorizes the raising from the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent of a loan of £300 at 3½ per cent., being (with subscribed half-yearly instalments) £4 17s. 6d. per centum per annum; and that, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on such loan so authorized to be raised, hereby makes and levies a special rate of 7/500d. in the pound on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough of Westport; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid.

I hereby certify that the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Westport Borough Council held on the 21st day of September, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 21st day of October, 1910.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Hokianga.

THE following special order, made by the Hokianga County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

COUNTY OF HOKIANGA.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and sections 97 and 123 of the Counties Act, 1908, and section 48, subsection (e), of the Rating Act, 1908, the Hokianga County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorized to be raised by the Hokianga County Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for bridging, metalling, and forming within the special rating area of Kohukohu, the said Hokianga County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1¾d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation of all rateable properties of the Kohukohu Special District, comprising all those sections within an area bounded by a line commencing at a point where the western boundary of Section 1, Suburbs of Kohukohu, meets the Kohukohu-Tio Road, from thence southwards by the western boundaries of that section and Sections 1, 3, and 6 until it meets the northern boundary-line of the Tautehihi Block No. 1b by following that line eastward to the Hokianga River, and from thence by the tidal frontage until it reaches the starting-point at Section 1 aforesaid; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every subsequent year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, the interest and sinking fund of which is to be fixed at the rate of 4⅞ per cent. per annum

The above resolution was duly passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Hokianga County Council held on Thursday, the 14th day of July, 1910, and confirmed at a subsequent ordinary meeting of the said Council held on Tuesday, the 6th day of September, 1910.

The common seal of the body corporate called the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Hokianga was hereunto affixed in the presence of—
