by the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting Town Board offices and public library and reading-rooms, the said Waverley Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 27/128d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Waverley Town Board District, comprising all that area in the Provincial District of Wellington bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 86, 3710 links; by a road-line, 100 links; by Section No. 104, 1554 links; by Section No. 42, 700 links; again by a road-line, 550 links; and by Section No. 87, 721 links: towards the north-east by Section No. 87, 1645 links; by a road-line, 105 links; by part Section 88, 1746 links, 1571 links; by Section No. 89, 1661 links; again by a road-line, 100 links; and by Section 319, 1686 links: towards the south-east by Section No. 329, 3535 links; by Section No. 328, 1085 links; by a road-line, 120 links; and by Section No. 336, 2945 links: towards the south-west by Section No. 337, 1689 links; by a road-line, 100 links; by Section No. 84, 2540 links; by Section No. 85, 1510 links; and by Section No. 86, 580 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the Provincial District Survey Office at Wellington: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable at the Board’s office at Waverley on the 3rd day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Thames.

THE following special order, made by the Thames Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF THAMES.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, and the Slaughtering and Inspection Act, 1908, the Thames Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £355, authorized to be raised by the said Council, under the aforesaid Acts, from the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Office Superintendent, for a period of thirty-six years and a half, at £2 8s. 9d. per cent. per half-year, for the purpose of providing the amount necessary to enable the Thames Borough Council to liquidate the cost of completing the erection of the Thames Borough abattoirs, the said Thames Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable valuation (on the basis of the annual rent value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Thames (comprising all lands within the boundaries thereof, gazetted on page 207 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1884); and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable annually on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of the Thames Borough Council on the 8th September, 1910, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 6th October, 1910.

THE following special order, made by the Waipawa County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WAIPAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order.

THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Waipawa County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipawa County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of a tunnel at the intake of the Ashcott Water-race, and for the repairing of the said water-race, the said Waipawa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ashcott Water-race Special Rating Area, comprising Blocks 53, 202, 62, 263, 55, 264, 265, 266, 204, 203, 61, 47, 262, 48, 49, 56, 57, 281, 205, 64, 50, 206, 51, 52, and 261, and parts Blocks 46 and 58 of the Ashcott Estate, Ruataniwha Survey District, and bounded as follows—commencing at the point where the Tuki Tuki River is intersected by the eastern boundary of Block 46, thence by the said eastern boundary of Block 46 in a southerly direction to its intersection with the Ashcott–Waipukurau Road, thence in a westerly direction along the Ashcott–Waipukurau Road for a distance of 70 chains, thence by a line due south to the Tukipo River, thence by the Tukipo River in a westerly direction to the point where it is intersected by the western boundary of Block 51, thence by the said western boundary of Block 51 to its intersection with the northern boundary of the said Block 51, thence by a line due north to the Tuki Tuki River, thence by the Tuki Tuki River in an easterly direction to the place of commencement; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off; and that the rate of interest on the said loan shall be 3½ per centum per annum.

The above special order was duly made at a special meeting of the Waipawa County Council held on the 9th day of September, 1910, and duly confirmed at a meeting of the said County Council held on the 7th day of October, 1910.
