REGULATION.

  1. The number of cattle to be depastured shall be mentioned in the license, and the rent to be paid in respect of such license shall be calculated upon the following scale, that is to say,—

Per Annum.

The first head of great cattle run by each license-holder, provided it is a milch cow 8 0
All other great cattle mentioned in the license .. .. .. 10 0
For every head of small cattle .. .. 5 0

Every such license shall be in the form or to the effect contained in the Second Schedule to the regulations, and shall expire on the 31st day of December in every year, when such license may be renewed in accordance with the foregoing provisions. Every license shall be granted subject to the conditions herein set forth, and shall be signed by the Chairman of the Committee.

Trustee for the Motu Public Cemetery appointed.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the fourth section of the Cemeteries Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

to be a Trustee, in the place of Christian Hansen, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Motu Public Cemetery, in conjunction with Richard Fearon Jackson and Edward Richardson, previously appointed by His Excellency the Governor.

Opening Land in Wellington Land District for Sale or Selection.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and ten; and also that the land mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said land shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.

Warrant vesting Control of the Waipa River Bridge in the Raglan County Council, and apportioning the Cost of Maintenance.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the nineteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-nine, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fourth day of January, one thousand nine hundred, the control of the bridge known as the Waipa River Bridge (which bridge is hereinafter termed “the said bridge”) was vested in the Ngaruawahia Town Board in terms of section one hundred and fourteen of the Public Works Act, 1894, and the cost of maintenance of the said bridge was apportioned between the Councils of the Raglan and Waipa Counties and the Ngaruawahia Town Board in the manner set forth in the said Proclamation; but the Ngaruawahia Town Board has recently applied that the control of the said bridge should be changed by vesting the same in the Raglan County Council:

And whereas the Public Works Act, 1894, was repealed by the Public Works Act, 1905, which is one of the Acts mentioned in the First Schedule to the Public Works Act, 1908:

And whereas by subsection twelve of section one hundred and twenty of the Public Works Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that any Proclamation or instrument heretofore issued or made under any of the compiled Acts or any Act repealed by any such enactment vesting the control of any bridge, ferry, or ford, and apportioning the cost of maintenance thereof, may be revoked, altered, or varied by the Governor from time to time as he may deem expedient, subject to the provisions of the said Act:

And whereas the Raglan County Council has consented to take over the control of the said bridge, and the Waipa County Council concurs therein:

And whereas it is considered expedient to revoke the said Proclamation and to make provision in lieu thereof, under the powers granted by section one hundred and twenty of the said Act, for the purposes and in the manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, and of all other
