Declaring Land to be subject to Part XVI of the Native Land Act, 1909.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Commission referred to in section two hundred and ninety-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, has, before the commencement of that Act, reported to the Governor that certain Native land, to wit, the Native land described in the Schedule hereto, should be reserved for the use and occupation of the owners:

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred upon him by the aforesaid section two hundred and ninety-five, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby declare that the Native land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to Part XVI of the aforesaid Act, as from the date of this Order in Council.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land, situated in the Maungaharuru and Moeangiangi Survey Districts, in the Provincial District of Hawke’s Bay, containing 1,300 acres, more or less, being part of the Tutira Block, and being the land which is more particularly delineated on a plan lodged in the office of the Ikaroa District Maori Land Board, at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Declaring Culverden Settlement Roads, in the Amuri County, to be County Roads.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county roads.

SCHEDULE.

CULVERDEN SETTLEMENT ROADS.

ALL those six portions of roads in the Culverden Settlement and Township, Blocks V and VI, Culverden Survey District, in the Canterbury Land District, Amuri County, as described hereunder:—

That portion of road commencing at a point about 10 chains north-east of railway terminus on the Hanmer Road, and running generally in a north-westerly direction through Section 14 and terminating at Section 20; about 56 chains in length.

Also all that portion of road commencing at Cemetery Reserve between Sections 20 and 14, and running in a north-easterly direction between the said sections and terminating at Section 21; about 55 chains in length.

Also that portion of road commencing at the Avenue Road, and running in a south-easterly direction between Sections 20 and 21, and terminating at Section 14; about 92 chains in length.

Also that portion of road known as Avenue Road, commencing at Section 16 and running in a north-easterly direction between Sections 17 and 19 and Sections 15, 20, and 21, and terminating at Section 27; about 88 chains in length.

Also that portion of road commencing at the Avenue Road, and running generally in a south-westerly direction between Section 17 and Sections 19 and 18, and terminating at the Pahau River; about 154 chains in length.

Also that portion of road commencing at Section 17, and running in a north-westerly direction through Sections 18 and 28, and terminating at Section 29; about 123 chains in length.

As the said portions of roads are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 27459, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured blue.

Time for Destruction of Originals of Telegrams.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the eighteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ten, regulations were made under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), inter alia fixing the period for which the originals of inland telegrams and cable messages are to be kept:

And whereas it is expedient to alter and amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the regulation numbered twenty-five under the heading “Fee for Search,” in the Schedule to the above-mentioned Order in Council, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth order that such regulation shall be read as part of the regulations first herein mentioned, and shall have effect on and after the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette.

SCHEDULE.

  1. THE originals of inland telegrams and cable messages may be destroyed after the expiration of three months and twelve months respectively from the date hereof.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Statistics Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and direct that the account described in section twenty of the said Act shall be taken on the twentieth day of October, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Amended Regulations for the Management of the Waikaka Commonage.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby revoke clause 14 of the Regulations for the management of Waikaka Commonage, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the tenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and ten, and make the following regulation in lieu thereof:—
