Stopping a Government Road through Makirikiri Native Reserve, Block XIII, Mangaone Survey District, Mauriceville County.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by paragraph (c) of section one hundred and thirty-three of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Proclamation publicly notified, stop or alter the course of any Government road or any part thereof:
And whereas the Government road described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for the purpose of a road:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the above-in-part-recited Act, and of all other powers in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim as stopped the road in Mangaone Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

In the Wellington Land District; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked and coloured as above mentioned, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over His Majesty’s Dominion of New Zealand and its Dependencies; and issued under the Seal of the said Dominion, at the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street in Sections Nos. 424 and 425, City of Wellington, of a Width less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1910.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and seventy-eight of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that where the configuration of any borough is such as that within any particular area or areas thereof it is difficult or inexpedient to construct streets of the width of sixty-six feet as required by the said Act, the Governor may, by Order in Council defining the limits of such particular area or areas, authorize the Council to permit within such area or areas the construction of streets and private streets of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet:
And whereas the configuration of the City of Wellington is such that within the area described in the Schedule hereto it is inexpedient to construct a street of sixty-six feet:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby permit within the area described in the Schedule hereto the laying-off of a street within the said area of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than forty feet.

ALL that piece of land in the Land District of Wellington, situated in the City of Wellington, comprising Sections 424 and 425 in the said city; as the said land is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 27395, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon shown in green border.

Conferring Extended Jurisdiction on Native Land Court.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of October, 1910.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by section twenty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, it is enacted that the Governor may, by Order in Council, confer upon the Native Land Court, as effectually as if the same was conferred by this Act, jurisdiction in any matter or question affecting the rights of Natives in any real or personal property, and thereupon the Court shall have full jurisdiction and power to determine that matter or question according to law:
And whereas certain lands were set apart for Natives in the Parishes of Waioeka, Matata, Waimana, Waiotahi, and Township of Opotiki: And whereas it is expedient that the Native Land Court should be empowered to inquire and ascertain who are the Natives entitled, and in what shares and proportions, to the lands more fully set out in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by subsection one of section twenty-five of the Native Land Act, 1909, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the investigation and determination of the matters aforesaid, and of any matter or question which may arise in relation thereto, or which it shall be necessary to determine for the purpose aforesaid, shall be and the same are hereby brought within the jurisdiction of the said Court; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Native Land Act, 1909, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor in Council to the proceedings hereby authorized.
