THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,920, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council, under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, and under section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, in particular for completing the construction of waterworks for the supply of pure water for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Linwood Ward of the City of Christchurch, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4/43d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised within the said Linwood Ward of the said City of Christchurch, the boundaries of which said ward are set out in the Supplement of the New Zealand Gazette dated 1st April, 1903, page 884; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a special meeting of the Christchurch City Council held on the 29th day of August, 1910, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 26th day of September, 1910.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,930, authorized to be raised by the Christchurch City Council, under the above-mentioned Act and its amendments, and under section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, in particular for completing the construction of waterworks for the supply of pure water for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of St. Albans Ward of the City of Christchurch, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2/29d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprised within the said St. Albans Ward of the said City of Christchurch, the boundaries of which said ward are set out in the Supplement of the New Zealand Gazette dated 1st April, 1903, page 884; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Waipukurau Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WAIPUKURAU TOWN BOARD.
Special Order.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and any amendments thereto, the Waipukurau Town Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Waipukurau Town Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing and establishing a water-supply for the town district, and providing fire-prevention appliances, the said Waipukurau Town Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 59/64d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property of the Waipukurau Town District, comprising all that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District in Blocks XIV and XV, Waipukurau Survey District, as shown upon the plan deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, under No. S.G. 54516, thereon bordered red; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 30th day of April and the 31st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.

THE following notice, received from the Mayor of the Borough of Mataura, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

MATAURA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers of the Borough of Mataura was taken on the 26th day of September, 1910, on the proposal of the Mataura Borough Council to borrow the sum of £7,000 for the purpose of supplying the borough with water and providing drainage for the inhabitants.

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 59. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 52. I therefore declare the proposal carried.

Dated at Mataura, this 26th day of September, 1910.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.

PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Taurangaruru Special Rating Area, Waipipi Road District, was taken on the 24th day of September, 1910, on a proposal of the Waipipi Road Board to borrow the sum of £1,850 for the following purposes:—

(a.) £766 for forming and metalling the Lamb Hill—Waiuku Road.

(b.) £200 for forming and metalling the Lamb Hill—Karioitahi Road.
