Vesting a Reserve in the Whangamomona County Council.

ISLINGTON, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of October, 1910.

Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto has been permanently reserved for a site for Council offices of the Whangamomona County Council:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to vest the said reserve in the Whangamomona County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Whangamomona County, in trust, as a site for Council offices of the Whangamomona County Council.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 22 perches, more or less, being Sections 18 and 19, Block II, Town of Whangamomona. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 17 of the said Block II, towards the east by a road reserve, towards the south by Section 20 of the said Block II, and towards the west by the Whangamomona Road; as the same is delineated on the plans marked L. 5312/3 and L. 5312/8, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington.

Whangarei Harbour Board declared a Leasing Authority under the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of October, 1910.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS the Whangarei Harbour Board is a body of persons having power to lease land held in trust reserved or set apart for public purposes, and has requested the Governor in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in compliance with such request, and in exercise of the powers in this behalf conferred by the above-mentioned Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the Whangarei Harbour Board is a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies’ Leases Act, 1908.

Land temporarily reserved for Quarry Purposes in the Auckland Land District.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first section of the Land Act, 1908, it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Auckland Land District described in the Schedule hereunder written, for quarry purposes.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 80 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, being Section 238, Parish of Te Puna. Bounded towards the north by Section 236, Parish of Te Puna, the crossing of a public road, and by a village reserve, 5148'4 links; towards the east by Section 235, Parish of Te Puna aforesaid, 1597'2 links; towards the south by Section 235 aforesaid, the crossing of a public road, and by Section 236 aforesaid, 5148'2 links; and towards the west by Section 236 aforesaid, 1597'2 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5442/1, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon edged red: save and excepting a public road 100 links wide intersecting the before-described land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-eighth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Notifying Lands in Auckland Land District for Sale by Public Auction.

ISLINGTON, Governor.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one-hundred-and-twenty-sixth section of the Land Act, 1908, I, John Poynder Dickson-Poynder, Baron Islington, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint Friday, the twentieth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and eleven, as the time at which the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said Schedule hereto.

Altitude, from 25 ft. to 40 ft. above sea-level. All flat land, covered with manuka and scrub, and a belt of pine-trees around 7 acres; furze and blackberries bad. Soil a light loam, fair to good in quality, on sandy subsoil. Situated about nine miles from Ohaupo by cart-road.

Altitude, from 50 ft. to 60 ft. above sea-level. All manuka scrub land, and level. Light loamy soil, fair quality, resting on sandy subsoil. Situated four miles from Ohaupo—two miles and a half formed cart-road; balance unformed, but can be used for traffic.

Weighted with £4 2s. 6d. for about 30 chains boundary-fencing in bad repair. Altitude, 25 ft. to 50 ft. above sea-level. About 10 acres flat dry land; 2 acres in grass and hawthorn; 8 acres ploughed and grassed, but grass now run out; about 7 acres broken and covered with fern, gorse, and blackberries; balance toitoi swamp, subject to floods. Light loamy soil, fair to medium in quality, on sandy subsoil; well watered by Waipa River and small stream. Situated about nine miles from Ohaupo by cart-road.
