of Rural Section No. 36093 to Rural Section No. 36095; thence along the south-eastern and north-eastern sides of the public road which forms the boundary of the said Rural Section No. 36095 to a point opposite the boundary between Rural Sections Nos. 36094 and 36096; thence south-westerly across the said public road and along the said boundary between Rural Sections Nos. 36094 and 36096 to the Opuha River; thence along the middle of the Opuha River to its confluence with the Opihi River; thence generally north-westerly along the middle of the Opihi River to a point opposite the south-western corner of Rural Section No. 29333; thence to the northern bank of the Opihi River to a point on the boundary of the Mackenzie County; thence generally north-easterly and north-westerly along the boundary of the Mackenzie County as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 102, of the 4th day of October, 1883, to the commencing-point at the source of the Forest Creek in the said Two Thumb Range,—

shall constitute a new road district with the boundaries hereinbefore set forth; and that the name of the said new road district shall be the Opuha Road District; and that the number of the members of the Board thereof shall be four; and that the said road district shall not be divided into subdivisions.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Geraldine was hereunto affixed by order of the Council at a meeting of the Council held on the 21st day of July, 1910, in the presence of—

Special Order made by the Council of the Borough of Devonport.

THE following special order, made by the Devonport Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF DEVONPORT.

Special Order.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Devonport Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £12,500, authorized to be raised by the Devonport Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purposes following :—

£200, with which to provide for the erection of a morgue;

£8,000, with which to construct a larger and additional reservoir;

£1,000, with which to provide for the further drainage of Stanley Bay;

£3,000, with which to provide for the drainage of Victoria Park and neighbourhood; and

£300 towards the providing of a manual training school in the borough,—

the said Devonport Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Devonport on the basis of the unimproved value; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of December and the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Special Order made by the Council of the County of Bruce.

THE following special order, made by the Bruce County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BRUCE COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order made 2nd August; confirmed, 6th September, 1910.

THAT, for the purposes of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Bruce County Council, under the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, for the formation of a road through Waitahuna East, Hillend, and Table Hill Survey Districts to Manuka Creek Railway-station, the said Bruce County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ³⁄₁₆d. in the pound upon the rateable property appearing on the valuation rolls now in force; and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, and bearing interest at the rate of 3½ per cent. per annum, and to be payable on the 1st day of January and the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan.

Schedule of Special District.

All that portion of Balmoral and Mount Stuart Ridings comprising Sections 14 and 15, Block XI, Waitahuna East; and Sections 15 and 19, Block VIII; Sections 6 and 9, Block IX, Hillend Survey District; Lot 1A, Barnego Settlement; Lots 21 and part 22, Manuka Island Estate; Lots 19, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, and 30, Blackburn Settlement; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 9A, 10, and 13 Roxburgh Estate. The plan of the above special rating roll can be inspected at the county office up to the date of confirmation.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act, 1908, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby, by way of special order, resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,800, authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of paying off—

(1.) The sum of £3,350, representing a liability lawfully incurred by the said Council to the Public Trustee by the deposit and by hypothecation of debentures with the Public Trustee for the sum of £3,500, being the whole of a special loan of the sum of £3,500 less the sum of £150 for sinking fund and moneys in hand for paying the same, which liability was incurred by the Council for the purposes of the said special
