THE following special order, made by the Geraldine County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908.

GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order made by Special Resolution passed on 16th June, 1910, and confirmed on 21st July, 1910.
WHEREAS a petition hath been presented to the Council of the County of Geraldine, signed by two-thirds of the ratepayers of the Mount Peel Road District, being a road district situated within the said County of Geraldine, praying the said Council to constitute that part of the said Mount Peel Road District hereinafter more particularly described a new road district, under and by virtue of the provisions of the Road Boards Act, 1908, and setting forth the boundaries of the said proposed new district as hereinafter set forth : And whereas the said petition hath been publicly notified for one month before presentation to the said Council : And whereas the said Council is desirous of declaring by special order that the said part of the said Mount Peel Road District shall constitute a new road district having the name and boundaries herein-after mentioned, and that the number of members of the Board thereof shall be as hereinafter mentioned, and that the said new road district shall not be divided into subdivisions : Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Road Boards Act, 1908, and all other powers in that behalf it thereunto enabling, the Council of the County of Geraldine hereby resolves as follows, that is to say : That the said Council doth by special order declare that the said part of the said Mount Peel Road District beingβ
All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by a line commencing at the source of Forest Creek in the Two Thumb Range, and extending along the middle of the said Forest Creek to the westernmost corner of Run No. 2 ; thence along the southern boundary of the said run in an easterly direction to the Phantom River ; thence along the middle of the said Phantom River to the confluence of the said Phantom River with the Orari River; thence southerly along the middle of the said Orari River to the Mowbray River ; thence along the middle of the said Mowbray River to the northernmost corner of Small Grazing-run No. 26, Tripp Settlement ; thence generally southerly along the western boundaries of the said Small Grazing-run No. 26 to Run No. 14; thence along the eastern boundary of the said Run No. 14 to Rural Section No. 36093; thence south-easterly along the said north-eastern boundary
