Winton Riding is bounded by a line commencing at the
north-west corner of Wallacetown Riding (near Section 43
of Oreti Hundred); thence north along the west boundary
of Southland County; thence east along the north bound-
ary of Southland County to the middle of the Oreti River;
thence south along the middle of the Oreti River to the
Dipton Bridge; thence along the middle of the road
running from Section 97 to the south-east corner of 571;
thence along the north-east boundary of Section 334 to its
east corner; thence south-east by a straight line to the
south-west corner of Section 354; thence south-east along
the north-east boundary of Section 796 and 797 to join the
west boundary of Hokonui Riding; thence south and east
along the west boundary of Hokonui Riding to its junction
with the north-west boundary of Awarua Riding; thence
south-west along the north-west boundary of Awarua
Riding to its junction with the north boundary of Wallace-
town Riding; thence west, north, and south-west along the
north boundary of Wallacetown Riding to the commencing-
point.

Oreti Riding is bounded by a line commencing at the
middle of the Oreti River opposite the Wallace County
boundary (near Section 304, Hokonui Survey District);
thence north, north-west, and north by the boundary
between Southland County and Wallace County; thence
south-east and south-west by the boundary between South-
land County and Lake County to where this boundary
leaves the Mataura River; thence south-east along the
middle of the Mataura River to join the north-west bound-
ary of Hokonui Riding; thence along the north-west
boundary of Hokonui Riding to its junction with the
boundary of Winton Riding; thence along the north-east
boundary of Winton Riding to the commencing-point.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and
Inhabitants of the Southland County was hereunto affixed,

of the special order passed at a special meeting of the
Southland County Council held on the 22nd day of July,
1910, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Council held

County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

HOBSON COUNTY.

Special Order.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the
Hobson County Council hereby resolves as follows : That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £300, authorized to be raised by the Hobson
County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of constructing a wharf at Tangaihi, the said
Hobson Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Tangaihi Wharf Special Rating Area,
commencing at the north-east corner of Section 16 of Te
Kuri Parish, bounded towards the south-east generally by
the eastern and southern boundaries of said Section 16 to a
public road fronting Section 15 of the said parish; thence by
such road to the south-east corner of Section 3 of the said
parish; thence by the eastern boundary-lines of Sections 3
and 6 of said parish; thence by the northern boundary-line
of said Section 6 and Section 1; thence by the eastern bound-
ary-line of Section 4 of said parish; thence by the southern
boundary-line of said Section 4; thence by the western
boundary-line of said Section 4 to the south-east corner
of Section 11, Block IV, Te Kuri Survey District; thence
by the south, west, and northern boundary-lines of said
Section 11 to the south-west corner of Section 12, Block I,
Te Kuri Survey District; thence by the western and north-
eastern boundary-lines of said Section 12 to the north-west
corner of Section 29 of Block XI, Te Kuri Survey Dis-
trict; thence by a road-line fronting Sections 29, 28, 27, 22
of said Block XI to the south-west corner of Section 13
of the said Block XI; thence by the south-west boundary-
line of said Section 13; thence by the north-west boundary-
line of Sections 13, 8, and 9 of said Block XI and a con-
tinuation of such line to the Wairoa River; thence bounded
on the north-east by the Wairoa River to the commencing-
point: all within the Te Kopuru Riding of the Hobson
County: and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully
paid off.

The common seal of the body corporate called the
Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of Hobson County
was hereunto affixed by direction of the Council of Hob-
son County, this 25th day of August, 1910, by and in the
presence of—

KIWITEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the
Kiwitea County Council hereby resolves as follows : That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Kiwitea
County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of constructing a bridge over the Kawhatau River
on the Potaka Road, the said Kiwitea County Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the
pound sterling upon the rateable valuation of all rateable
property of the whole of the Kiwitea County; and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on
the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in
each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the
loan is fully paid off. The cost of raising the loan and the
interest for the first year to be paid out of loan.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
adopted at a special meeting of the Kiwitea County Coun-
cil held on the 16th day of July, 1910, and was duly con-
firmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council held on the
20th day of August, 1910.
