APPLICATION TO ENLARGE WATER-RACE
(No. 909; 22nd September, 1908).
To the Warden of the Otago Mining District at Arrowtown.
PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned,
John McMaster, David Brodie, Sarah Martin, James Gourley Martin, and William Martin, all of Arrow District, Miners, hereby apply to enlarge their water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for: 4.30 p.m. on 14th July, 1910.
Date and number of miner’s right: 17th October, 1909, No. 80029; 11th April, 1910, No. 8004; 16th June, 1910, No. 80019; 16th June, 1910, No. 80020; 4th June, 1910, No. 80021.
Address for service: Office of Wesley Turton, Arrowtown.

Schedule.
Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: Commencing at north branch Swiftburn and terminating at James Hamilton’s special river claim applied for to-day.
Estimated time and cost of construction of alteration: Six months; £100, to enlarge mean depth and breadth to 3 ft. by 1½ ft. from commencing-point to where branch race under Application 25/10 starts.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Mining.
Proposed term of license: Same as present one.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, George O’Fee, of Crown Terrace, Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race, as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking-out privilege applied for: 8th August, 1910, at 3.5 p.m.
Date and number of miner’s right: 30th June, 1910, No. 80112.
Address for service: Care of A. M. Brodrick, Solicitor, Cromwell.
Dated at Cromwell, this 10th day of August, 1910.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points: In a creek on Crown Terrace near applicant’s residence, being the next creek nearest Cadrona, to the north branch of the Swiftburn Creek, going through applicant’s freehold Sections 8, 13, and 11, Kawarau Survey District, Block I, and terminating in first-named creek 89 chains further down, crossing the road in a culvert, the last 75 chains being a dry natural channel.
Length and intended course of race: 89 chains; north-east to south-west.
Points of intake: Commencing-point.
Estimated time and cost of construction: Already constructed.
Mean depth and breadth: 1 ft. deep, 1 ft. 6 in. wide.
Number of heads to be diverted: One-half head.
Purpose for which water is to be used: Domestic purposes and watering stock.
Proposed term of license: Forty-two years.
