PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, John Watson, of Roxburgh, Farmer, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points : Benger Survey District, Pre-emptive Right A, Block XIV, starting in a creek known as Watson’s or Boundary Creek, about half a chain below the main road and intake of Mr. Veale’s water-race, and terminating in the said pre-emptive right about 30 chains below the intake, being the applicant’s private land. Pegs marked W.
Length and intended course of race : 30 chains ; west to east.
Points of intake : One.
Estimated time and cost of construction : Two months ; £20.
Mean depth and breadth : 8 in. deep, 1 ft. wide.
Number of heads to be diverted : Half a head.
Purposes for which water is to be used : Irrigation and watering stock.
Proposed term of license : Forty-two years.

PURSUANT to the Mining Act, 1908, the undersigned, James Hamilton, of Macetown, Miner, hereby applies for a license for a water-race as specified in the Schedule hereto, the course whereof has been duly marked out for the purpose.
Precise time of marking out privilege applied for : 4 p.m. on 14th July, 1910.
Date and number of miner’s right : 14th February, 1910 ; No. 79969.
Address for service : Office of Wesley Turton, Arrowtown.
Dated at Queenstown, this 23rd day of July, 1910.

Locality of the race and of its starting and terminal points : In a creek on Crown Terrace near George O’Fee’s residence, being the next creek nearest Cardrona to the north branch of the Swiftburn Creek. Commencing at said creek, running thence through the freehold land of John Jenkins the Younger, with his consent, a distance of about 40 chains, and emptying into the head of water-race held under License 909, 22nd September, 1908 ; running thence in the said Water-race 909 to where the branch race applied for to-day starts, and thence in said branch race to and terminating at the said special river claim at Arrow River applied for by me to-day.
Length and intended course of race : About twelve miles and 8 chains ; northerly.
Points of intake : Commencing-point.
Estimated time and cost of construction : Two months ; £30.
Mean breadth and depth : 1 ft. deep, 15 in. wide, from commencing-point to head of Race 909 ; rest of line, being said race and said branch race, to be 3 ft. by 3 ft.
