acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Taranaki Land District, Eltham County, known as the Rawhitiroa Road, commencing at the south-eastern corner of Section 8, Block XI, Omona Survey District, and running in a south-easterly direction generally along the frontages of Sections 2 and 3, and through Township Reserve Section 22, all in the said Block XI, and along the frontage of Section 5, Block XII, Omona Survey District, to its junction with the Moewatea Road, a distance of 4 miles 55 chains; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 26992, and coloured red, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Opawa Domain.

WHEREAS by section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, with respect to any public domain, appoint such persons (not exceeding nine) as he thinks fit to be a Domain Board having, subject to the said Act, control of such domain:
And whereas it appears expedient to appoint a Domain Board to control the said domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint

To be the Opawa Domain Board, having the control of the land described in the said Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act; and doth hereby appoint Friday, the fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and ten, at four o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Library, Albury, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

OPAWA DOMAIN.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, being Sections Nos. 155 to 177 (inclusive), Town of Opawa, as shown in certificate of title, Vol. cxcviii, folio 277.

Exempting Part of Aotaki Street, in the Township of Otaki, from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a
road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:
And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions with respect to the building-line as the Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose:
And whereas on the seventh day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, the Otaki Road Board, the local authority having control of the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto, did by resolution declare that the provisions of the said section one hundred and seventeen should not apply to the said portion of road:
And whereas it is deemed expedient that such resolution should be approved:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by the above-in-part-recited Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the said resolution in so far as it affects the said portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that portion of road in the Township of Otaki, Otaki Road District, Wellington Land District, known as Aotaki Street, abutting on Section 99 in the said township, having a length of 195 links, more or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 26994, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of July, 1910.

WHEREAS by section seven of the Land Settlement Finance Act, 1909 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), it is provided that as soon as practicable after the complete execution of any agreement under the said Act application in the prescribed form shall be made to the Governor by and on behalf of the purchasers for an Order in Council confirming the agreement in pursuance of the said Act: And whereas by sections eight and nine of the said Act it is further provided that upon receipt of such application the Minister of Finance shall refer the same, together with the agreement, to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report thereon, and if the Board reports that the agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed the Governor may, if he thinks fit, by Order in Council confirm the agreement accordingly: And whereas under the provisions of the said Act an agreement, bearing date the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten, has been entered into between William Waldron, Frederick Charles Adams, Samuel Harris, Arthur Hunt, Robert Raper Harris, George Thomas Kyle, and Joseph Sinclair Kyle as purchasers of the one part, and John Edward Lane as vendor of the other part, for the purchase of the land therein described, and the said purchasers therein agreed to become incorporated as the Korokipo Land Settlement Association: And whereas application has been made in the prescribed form for the issue of an Order in Council confirming the said agreement: And whereas the said application, together with the said agreement, was referred to the Board of Land Purchase Commissioners for its report, and the Board has reported that no roading is required in respect of the said land, and that the said agreement is fit and proper to be so confirmed:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby confirm the said agreement dated the sixth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and ten.
