THE following special order, made by the Stratford County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

STRATFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.
Copy of a Special Order.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Stratford County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £170, authorised to be raised by the Stratford County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of defraying the cost of forming, metalling, and culverting the Denmark Terrace from the Mountain Road in a south-westerly direction for about 25 chains, and altering the grade at the second creek from the Mountain Road, the said Stratford County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Denmark Terrace Special-rating District, comprising Subs. 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Section 35, and Subs. 6, 7, and 10 of Section 34, Block XIII, Huiroa Survey District; Section 8 of Block IV, and Sections 2 and 13 of Block I, Midhirst West: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The resolution instituting the above special order was passed at a special meeting of the Council held on the 15th day of December, 1909, and confirmed at a meeting of the Council held on the 19th day of January, 1910.

THE following special order, made by the Hillside Drainage Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

HILLSIDE DRAINAGE BOARD.
Special Order making Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and its amendments, the Hillside Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,000, authorised to be raised by the Hillside Drainage Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for making new drains, deepening and improving existing drains throughout the Hillside Drainage District, the said Hillside Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⁷⁄₈d. in the pound on the rateable value of lands classed A, as receiving or supposed to receive immediate or direct benefit; and of ⁴⁄₈d. in the pound on the rateable value of lands classed B, receiving or supposed to receive less direct benefit therefrom; and of ²⁄₈d. in the pound on the rateable value of all lands classed as C, receiving only an indirect benefit therefrom; such rate to be made and levied on all rateable property of the Hillside Drainage District, and immediately on lands classed as per Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Class B: Section 1, 93 acres; 2, 75 acres; 4, 124 acres; Hillside and Ormonde, and Lot 25 of Section 2, Woodlands Subdivision, 277 acres.
I, Frederick Richard Seddon, Chairman of the Hillside Drainage Board, hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of the special order adopted at a special meeting of the Hillside Drainage Board on the 7th day of October, 1909, and confirmed at a meeting of the said Board on the 4th day of November, 1909.

THE following special order, made by the Waitomo County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £200.—Te Kuiti Special-rating District.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Waitomo County Council hereby resolve as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200, authorised to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for completing unfinished work (being 10 per cent. additional upon the special loan of £2,000, which was found insufficient to complete the work for which it was raised), the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅓d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable properties of the Te Kuiti Township Special-rating District, as described on page 2543 of the New Zealand Gazette of the 1st October, 1909; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-two years, or until the loan is fully paid off; the interest to be paid at the rate of 4 per cent.
The above resolution was duly passed as a special order at a special meeting of the Waitomo County Council on the 24th day of November, 1909, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 23rd day of December, 1909.
