of forming, grading, metalling, and draining roads in the Outer Area of the Mount Roskill Road District: And whereas the provisions of section eight of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, require that the notice to raise the said loan shall be published once in each week for four successive weeks: And whereas the said notice was published in the Auckland Star newspaper on the eleventh, eighteenth, twenty-fourth, and thirtieth days of December, one thousand nine hundred and nine, but was not published once in each week for four successive weeks, as required by the said section eight: And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by such irregularity, and it is deemed expedient to validate the same:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers conferred by section one hundred and twenty-one of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby validate the said public notifications of the intention to raise the said loan, and doth hereby declare that the proceedings relative to such loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity aforesaid.

Vesting Reserves in the Hobson County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twentieth day of June, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule hereto have been permanently reserved for quarry purposes:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Administrator of the Government, it is expedient to vest the said reserves in the Hobson County Council:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves described in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Hobson County, in trust, for quarry purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 34 acres 3 roods 6 perches, more or less, being Section No. 23A, Parish of Whakakara. Bounded towards the north-east by the south-eastern portion of Section No. 24 and south-western portion of Section No. 25 of the Parish of Whakakara; towards the south-east by the north-eastern and south-western portions of Section No. 22 of the said parish, the crossing of a public road 100 links wide, and again by the said south-western portion of Section No. 22; towards the south-west by a public road; and towards the north-west by Section No. 23, Parish of Whakakara, the crossing of a public road 100 links wide, and again by the last-mentioned section: exclusive of a public road 100 links wide intersecting the above-described land: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 57742/17A, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 33 acres and 16 perches, more or less, being Section No. 34 of the Parish of Tatarariki. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 23, Parish of Tatarariki; towards the east by a public road along the Wairoa River, across a creek, and again by a public road; towards the south by section No. 24 of the aforesaid parish; and towards the west by a public road: as the same is delineated

on the plan marked L. 57742/21, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Reserve in the Marlborough Land District.

WHEREAS by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any reserve made under the authority of section three hundred and twenty-one of the Land Act, 1908, if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:

Now, therefore, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a site for a post and telegraph office to plantation purposes.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Marlborough Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 24 perches, more or less, being Section 5, Block XIII, Town of Seddon. Bounded towards the north-east by Richmond Street, 100 links; towards the south-east by Sections 1, 3, and 4, Block XIII, Town of Seddon, 400 links; towards the south-west by Mills Street, 88·9 links and 11·4 links; and towards the north-west by Section 7 of said Block XIII, 397·3 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5919/11c, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this fourteenth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and ten.

Opening Lands in Southland Land District for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1908, I, Robert Stout, the Administrator of the Government of the Dominion of New Zealand, having received the report of the Under-Secretary in this behalf, as provided in section one hundred and fifty-four of the said Act, do hereby declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection on Wednesday, the twenty-fourth day of August, one thousand nine hundred and ten; and also that the lands mentioned in the said Schedule may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase, or on renewable lease; and I do hereby also fix the prices at which the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased, as mentioned in the said Schedule hereto, and do declare that the said lands shall be sold, occupied, or leased under and subject to the provisions of the Land Act, 1908.
