THE following special orders, made by the Blenheim Borough Council, are published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order levying Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,000, authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of providing the amount necessary to enable the Blenheim Borough Council to complete the Blenheim Borough Abattoirs by adding a cool-store thereto, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st days of February and August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Blenheim was hereto affixed, this 6th day of June, 1910, in the presence of—

raised to construct a bridge over the Wairau River at Spring Creek, and the cost thereof is apportioned, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all the rateable property in the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following notice, received from the Ngaruawahia Town Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

NGARUAWAHIA TOWN DISTRICT.
PURSUANT to the provisions of section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby notify that the following is the result of the poll of ratepayers taken over the Ngaruawahia Town District on the 31st day of May, 1910, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purpose of providing additions to the saleyards, and for forming and metalling certain roads, within the Ngaruawahia Town Area:—
Number of valid votes recorded, 64: For the proposal, 46; against the proposal, 18.
The number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal being more than three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.

CASTLECLIFF TOWN BOARD.
Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Town District of Castlecliff was taken on the 2nd day of June, 1910, on the proposal of the Castlecliff Town Board to borrow the sum of £3,000 for the purpose of the formation and completion of new roads, streets, and footpaths, and for the general improvement and alterations of existing roads, streets, and footpaths, in the Castlecliff Town District.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 100; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 13; informal votes, 1: total, 114.
