The foregoing by-law was made by the Council of the Waimea County by special order. The resolution making the said by-law was passed at a special meeting of the said Council held at the offices of the said Council on the 2nd day of December, 1909, and such resolution was confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the said Council held at the said offices on the 6th day of January, 1910, due notice of such subsequent meeting and of such resolution having been given as required by law.
Given under the common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the Waimea County.

TAPANUI RACING CLUB.
REGULATIONS.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers in that behalf contained in section 33 of “The Gaming Act, 1908,” and with the approval of the Governor, the Tapanui Racing Club, a racing club within the meaning of the said Act, doth hereby make the following regulations controlling the admission of persons to that part of the Tapanui Reserve set apart for racing purposes, and known as the Tapanui Racecourse, while the said racecourse is used or occupied by the club for race meetings.

In these regulations the words “bookmaker” and “racing club” shall have the meaning ascribed to those terms by section 2 of the said Act.

The following persons shall be and the same are hereby excluded from the Tapanui Racecourse while the same is used or occupied by the said club for a race meeting, viz. :
(a.) Bookmakers, unless they shall be duly licensed by the said club under and in pursuance of the provisions of section 34 of the said Act.
(b.) All persons under disqualification inflicted by any racing club in the Dominion of New Zealand, the Commonwealth of Australia, or elsewhere, if affiliated to the Dunedin Jockey Club.
(c.) Common prostitutes and persons who habitually consort with thieves, or persons who have no lawful visible means of support.
The foregoing regulations of the Tapanui Racing Club are hereby approved, this 21st day of December, 1909.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, under the provisions of section 49 of “The Water-supply Act, 1908,” WILLIAM HENRY BUICK, Farmer, JACOB SIEMONER, Jun., Farmer, and ALEXANDER YULE TAPLIN, Settler, all of Masterton, have been appointed as Managing Ratepayers for the Upper Plain Water-supply District, in the County of Masterton.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following entry in the minute-book of the above-named company, signed by all the members of the company, and dated the 9th day of December, 1909, has effect as a special resolution of the company:—
“The company shall be and is hereby wound up voluntarily, and Mr. NORMAN GIBBS, of Wellington, is hereby appointed Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up, at a remuneration of five pounds per week (£5).”
This entry is intended to have the effect of a special resolution of the company.
