THE NEW ZEALAND MARBUT CARVING COMPANY (LIMITED), AUCKLAND.
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the above company, held at 28 Shortland Street, Auckland, on 16th day of November, 1909, the following special resolution was duly passed, and at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting, held 7th day of December, 1909, the following resolution was duly confirmed:—
RESOLUTION.
“That the above company go into voluntary liquidation, and that H. T. SMITH and E. G. PINKER be and are hereby appointed Liquidators for the purposes of such winding-up.”

Mr. C. F. NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 302 of “The Companies Act, 1908,” that the Office and place of business in Dunedin of the ROYAL INSURANCE COMPANY (LIMITED), where legal process of any kind may be served upon the said company and notices of any kind may be addressed or delivered, has been changed from the Stock Exchange Buildings, Water Street, Dunedin, to the Buildings of the New Zealand Express Company (Limited), in Bond Street, in Dunedin.

BY-LAW No. 5 OF THE WAIMEA COUNTY.
IN pursuance of the powers conferred by “The Counties Act, 1908,” The Public Works Act, 1908,” and every other statutory or other power in that behalf enabling it, the Council of the Waimea County by special order hereby makes the following by-law for the purpose of the good rule and government of the Waimea County:—

This by-law may be cited as “By-law No. 5,” and shall be read and construed with and as part of By-law No. 1 of the Waimea County, made by special order on the 8th day of September, 1904, and confirmed on the 14th day of October, 1904, and which said By-law No. 1 is hereinafter referred to as “the said by-law.”

Sections 75, 76, 79, 80, and 82 to 90, both inclusive, of the said by-law are hereby repealed.

The following provisions are substituted in lieu of the said sections hereby repealed:—
(a.) No person in charge of any four-wheeled vehicle which together with the load thereon weighs any of the weights specified in this section shall drive such vehicle or cause or allow the same to be driven drawn or propelled by any means whatsoever upon any road unless such vehicle when so being driven drawn or propelled as aforesaid shall have tires upon all of its wheels of the following widths—namely, three tons or over three tons and under four tons, tires not less than 3in. in width; four tons or over four tons and under five tons, tires not less than 4in. in width; five tons or over five tons and up to six tons, tires not less than 5in. in width.
(b.) No person in charge of any two-wheeled vehicle which together with the load thereon weighs any of the weights specified in this section shall drive such vehicle or cause or allow the same to be driven drawn or propelled by any means whatsoever upon any road unless such vehicle when so being driven drawn or propelled as aforesaid shall have tires upon its wheels of the following widths—namely, one ton and a half or over one ton and a half and under two tons, tires not less than 3in. in width; two tons or over two tons, tires not less than 4in. in width.
- Section 98 is hereby amended as follows, namely:—
(a.) By striking out the words “five barrels of cement” in the thirteenth line of section 98 in the printed copy of the said by-law (as originally printed), and substituting in lieu thereof the words “six barrels of cement.”
(b.) By striking out the words and figures “12 bags (4 bushel) of wheat” in the sixteenth and seventeenth lines of section 98 of the said printed copy of the said by-law, and substituting in lieu thereof the words and figures “10 bags (4 bushel) of wheat.”

Every person who shall do, or cause to be done, or be concerned in doing, anything contrary to any provision of this by-law, or who shall omit to do anything required to be done by such person by any such provision, shall be guilty of an offence against this by-law, and shall for every offence be liable to a penalty not exceeding five pounds (£5) sterling.

This special order and by-law (No. 5) shall come into force on the 1st day of February, 1910, and shall apply to the whole county.
