GENERAL DESCRIPTION.
Clydebank Settlement is situated in the valley of the Wairoa River, the south-western corner being within one mile of the Borough of Wairoa. On many of the sections good fencing-posts can be obtained from totara logs. The greater part of the area offered is pastoral land, but in the valleys there are flats suitable for dairying and agriculture. The country ranges in altitude, from 45 ft. to 875 ft. above sea-level, and has a splendid climate, no part of the settlement being more than eight miles from the coast.
