Declaring Portion of Mason’s Parapara Road, in the Mangawhero Road District, to be a District Road.

PLUNKET, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this nineteenth day of April, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a district road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Mangawhero Road District, known as the Mason’s Parapara Road, commencing at the crossing of the Hihitahi Stream, and proceeding generally in a northerly direction, intersecting Pukewhakapu 4, Pukewhakapu 3B, Section 9, and Pukewhakapu 2B, Block II, Mangawhero Survey District, and terminating at the crossing of the Okapua Stream, being a distance of three miles and a quarter, or thereabouts; as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 25963, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

MANGAPAHI ROAD.

ALL that portion of Mangapahi Road in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Wairoa County, commencing at junction with Mangaone Road, thence running generally in a north-easterly and north-westerly direction along boundaries of Sections 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, Block XIII, Nuhaka North Survey District, Sections 3, 4, 5, 2, and 1 (education reserve), Block IX, Nuhaka North Survey District, and terminating at a point between the said Section 1 (education reserve) and Run No. 75A, in Block IX, Nuhaka North Survey District, a distance of about 9 miles 40 chains; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 26350, coloured red, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and lettered A-B.

Declaring Portion of Mangaopa Road (Junction Road to Mohakau Road), in the Stratford County, to be a County Road.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

ALL that portion of road in the Taranaki Land District, Stratford County, known as Mangaopa Road (Junction Road to Mohakau Road), commencing at its junction with Mohakau Road, and proceeding in a north-easterly direction generally through Sections 42 and part 41, Block VI, Ngatimaru Survey District, to its junction with the Matau Road, being a distance of one mile 40 chains, more or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 26302, and coloured red, and deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, be a county road.

PART OF PIPIRIKI ROAD.

ALL that portion of road in the Wellington Land District, Waimarino County, known as the Pipiriki–Raetihi Road, commencing at the landing on the Wanganui River, proceeding generally in a north-easterly direction through the Township of Pipiriki, and terminating at the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block VII, Pipiriki Township, being a distance of 65 chains, more or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 26312, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.

Exempting Portion of Lincoln Street, in the City of Auckland, from the Provisions of Section 117 of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” subject to certain Conditions as to the Building-line.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by subsection one of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is, inter alia, provided that the said section shall not apply in any case where the local authority having control of a road or street by resolution declares that the provisions thereof shall not apply to any specified road or street, or any specified part thereof, and such resolution is approved by the Governor in Council:

And whereas by subsection two of section one hundred and seventeen of “The Public Works Act, 1908,” it is provided that such approval may be either absolute or subject to such conditions as the Governor by Order in Council thinks fit to impose :
