ing Officer for the Napier Harbour District, hereby give notice
that on the 23rd day of March, 1910, a poll of the ratepayers
in the said district was held and taken on a proposal of
the Napier Harbour Board to borrow £300,000 for the purpose
of the construction of works necessary for the requirements
of the breakwater portion of the Harbour of Napier,
and other purposes, which were duly advertised in accordance
with the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts; and that
at such poll the number of votes recorded for the said
proposal was 1,963, and that the number of votes recorded
against the said proposal was 1,466.
Wherefore inasmuch as the number of votes so recorded
in favour of the said proposal was less than three-fifths of
the total number of votes recorded at the said poll, we
declare the said proposal to be rejected.

ments Consolidation Act, 1908," I hereby notify that
the undermentioned Crown land, being the land known as
the Ladbroom Settlement, which has been acquired under
the said Act, is subject to the said Act, as from the 1st
March, 1910.

LADBROOK SETTLEMENT.
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing
by admeasurement 271 acres 1 rood 20 perches, more or
less, being parts of Rural Sections 556 and 1421 and Rural
Sections 2018 and 2498, the whole comprised in certificate
of title, Vol. 240, folio 296; as the same is delineated on
the plan marked L. 19411, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered
red.
