constituted by “The Hokitika Harbour Board Act, 1876,”
were made subject to the provisions of the laws relating to
mining: And whereas it is deemed desirable to revoke the
said Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, and in exercise of the powers conferred by “The
Mining Act, 1908,” and of all other powers and authorities
enabling me in that behalf, do hereby revoke the said
Proclamation, as from the first day of April, one thousand
nine hundred and ten; provided that such revocation shall
not affect any mining privilege then existing in respect of
the lands described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land, containing 14,150 acres,
more or less, situate in the Arahura District, in the County
of Westland, commencing at the eastern boundary of Native
Reserve No. 30. Bounded on the northward by south
boundary of Block V and a line 100 chains distant from
and parallel with north bank of Arahura River, 1,000 chains;
on the westward by the said Native Reserve No. 30 and east
boundary of Block V, distances respectively of 100 chains;
on the southward by a line 100 chains distant from and
parallel with south bank of Arahura River, 1,000 chains;
and on the eastward by a line running due north, 200 chains:
and known as Reserve No. 145 (in red).
Also all that piece or parcel of land, containing 15,700
acres, more or less, situate in the Totara District, in the
Land District of Westland, and known as No. 146 (in red).
Bounded on the south-west by the northern bank of the
Totara River; on the eastward by the east boundary of
Block LXVI and part of the east boundary of Block XXXVI;
on the northward by the H.P. line, and line in continuation
thereof to the sea-coast; and on the westward by the sea-coast.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Works
Act, 1908,” for the preservation of scenery in Block VI,
Karioi Survey District:
And whereas all the conditions precedent required by law
to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such
land for the purposes hereinbefore specified have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and in exercise of the powers and authorities in me vested
by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the preservation of
scenery; and I do also hereby declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the eighteenth day of May, one
thousand nine hundred and ten.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under “The Public Health
Act, 1908,” and “The Public Works Act, 1908,” for a
certain public work, to wit, the construction of a septic tank
for drainage, sewage, or refuse-destroying purposes in the
Christchurch Survey District:
And whereas the Heathcote Road Board has laid before
the Governor a memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, as required by the said Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance
and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me
by “The Public Health Act, 1908,” and “The Public Works
Act, 1908,” and of every other power and authority in any-wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for a septic tank for drainage, sewage, or refuse-destroying purposes, and shall vest in the Heathcote Road
Board as from the date hereinafter specified; and I do also
declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after
the eighteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and
ten.
