PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Patea County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,900, authorised to be raised by the Patea County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting four bridges of ironbark and totara and replacing one bridge by a tunnel, and filling on Waitotara Valley Road north of provincial boundary-line, the Patea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 5d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Taumatatahi Special-rating District, comprising Section 1, Block XIII, Taurakawa Survey District; Sections 3 and 1, Block 1, Kapara; part Sections 3 and 4, Section 5, and part Section 6, Block 2, Kapara; part Sections 6, 4, 3, 2, Block 3, Kapara; Sections 1 and 2, Block 5, Kapara; Sections 2 to 10, and Sections 14, 24, 25, 27, Block 6, Kapara; part Sections 4 and 3, and Makawhai N.R., Block 6, Kapara; part Sections 3 and 2, Block 7, Kapara: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of forty-one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE following special order, made by the Wellington City Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
Special Order striking Special Rate.
THE Council of the City of Wellington, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and their respective amendments, and all other acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolve, by special order, that, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £33,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the construction of a tramway to Wadestown, including the purchase of land necessary therefor, the said Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4½d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the special-rating area, part of the City of Wellington, known as the Wadestown District, being all the land now comprised in the City of Wellington that was formerly part of the Borough of Onslow, which land and the boundaries of which land are described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, computed from the 1st day of February, 1910, or until the loan is fully paid off.
SCHEDULE.
All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-east generally from the starting-point, where the production of the southern boundary of Section No. 3, Block XI, Belmont Survey District, meets high-water mark on the western side of Port Nicholson, by the said production, and by the said southern boundary of Section No. 3 to a point where the western boundary of the Wel-
lington-Manawatu Railway intersects the southern boundary of said Section No. 3; thence by the Wellington-Manawatu Railway, a line bearing 26° 31′ 30″, distance 299 links; by the Military Reserve, a line bearing 0° 49′, distance 355·1 links; by the Wellington-Manawatu Railway, lines bearing 311° 36′ 40″, distance 1026 links, 277° 34′, distance 385·7 links, to the aforesaid south boundary of Section No. 3, Block XI, Belmont Survey District: thence by southern boundary of the said Section No. 3 to the Kaiwarra Stream; thence by the Kaiwarra Stream and its branch which forms the western boundary of Section No. 4, Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District, to the southern boundary of Section No. 5, by the said Section No. 5, and generally towards the west by Section No. 7, Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District, and by the Otari Native Reserve and the Kaiwarra Stream to the northern boundary of Section No. 31, Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District; thence generally towards the south by the northern boundary of Sections No. 31 and No. 30, Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District, to the north-east corner of said Section No. 30; thence generally towards the south-east and south by the north-west boundary of Tinakori North Native Reserve and the Town Belt to the west boundary of Town Acre No. 660, City of Wellington; thence towards the east and south by the western and northern boundaries of said Town Acre No. 660, and by the production of its northern boundary to the east side of the Hutt Road; thence towards the east by the east side of the Hutt Road to a point where the north-eastern boundary of the land forming part of the Harbour of Port Nicholson and granted by deed of grant dated 18th day of October, 1855, to the Superintendent of the Province of Wellington joins the said Hutt Road; thence towards the south by a line running due east to the waters of Port Nicholson; thence towards the east by the waters of Port Nicholson to the point of commencement.
The said land comprises Sections 1, 2, 3, Wadestown, and Subdivisions 1 to 8 (inclusive), Otari Block, all in Block VI, Port Nicholson Survey District; Section 8, Block III, Port Nicholson Survey District; and parts Sections 2 and 3, Block XI, Belmont Survey District.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly adopted at a special meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 10th day of February, 1910, and was duly confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 10th day of March, 1910.

IN accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” and Acts amending the same, I, Redwood Felix Goulter, Chairman of the Wairau Road Board, hereby give notice that a poll of ratepayers in the Wairau Road Board District was taken on the 11th day of March, 1910, upon the proposal to raise a special loan of £2,700 for the following purposes:—
