THE following special order, made by the Maraetai Road Board, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

SPECIAL ORDER.
THE Maraetai Road Board, in pursuance of “The Noxious Weeds Act, 1908,” hereby declares, by way of special order, that kangaroo acacia (Acacia armata) is a noxious weed within the Maraetai Road District.
I, William Watt, Chairman of the Maraetai Road Board, hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Maraetai Road Board at a special meeting on the 13th day of November, 1909, and duly confirmed on the 18th day of December, 1909, and in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1908.”

ONE-TREE HILL ROAD BOARD.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Road Boards Act, 1908,” the One-tree Hill Road Board hereby resolves, by way of special order, that the number of members of the Road Board for the One-tree Hill Road District be increased from five to seven, such increase to take effect at the general election of members of the Board to be held in the month of May, 1910.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly passed in accordance with “The Road Board Acts, 1908.”

THE following special order, made by the Eltham County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

ELTHAM COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Eltham County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,500, authorised to be raised by the Eltham County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of acquiring land for and making a road from the Rotokare Road through parts Sections 1, 2, 3, and 26, Block XV, and Section 25, Block XIV, Ngaere Survey District, to the Campbell Road, being one continuous public work, the said Eltham County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅜d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on basis of capital value) of all the rateable property of that portion of the Eltham County comprising Section 1, Block III, Hawera Survey District; Sections 2, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, southern part of Section 3 (80 acres), Sub. 2 of Section 1, Sub. 1 of Section 1, and southern part of Section 11 (54 acres), all situate in Block XV, Ngaere Survey District; Lots 6, 8, and 9 of Section 4, Block II, Hawera Survey District; parts Section 25, Block XIV, Ngaere Survey District; Lot 7, part Sections 4 and 12, Block II aforesaid: and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-six years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is at the rate of £4 10s. per centum per annum, and the costs of raising the loan and the interest thereon for one year are to be paid out of such loan.

The foregoing resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Eltham County Council held on the 12th day of February, 1910, and confirmed at a special meeting of the said Council held on the 19th day of March, 1910.

THE following special order, made by the Eketahuna Borough Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.”

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
THAT the Eketahuna Borough Council do make the following special order making a special rate:
That, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Eketahuna Borough Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £530, authorised to be raised by the Eketahuna Borough Council, under the above-mentioned act, for the purpose of refunding to General Account moneys expended on the electric-light installation in excess of the loans already authorised by the ratepayers, and of completing the installation of the electric-light plant and the public and private lighting mains in the Borough of Eketahuna, and being a further loan of 10 per centum on the original loan of £3,000, and the second loan of £2,300, authorised for the said purpose, the said Eketahuna Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Eketahuna ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-three years, or until the loan is fully paid off ; the cost of raising the loan to be paid out of the loan.
The common seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Eketahuna was affixed hereto in pursuance of a resolution of the said Council passed on the 21st day of March, 1910, in the presence of—
