HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve of the award of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Long-service Medal to
Acting-Lieutenant THOMAS WILLIAM O’DRISCOLL, Dunedin City Guards Rifles,
he having a total service to 27th January, 1910, entitling him thereto of twenty years and ten days.

THE following special order, made by the Wallace County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1908.”

WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order.
THAT the Otatau Riding of Wallace County be extended towards the south so as to include the parts of Sections 2 and 1 of Block X, and the part of Section 41, Block VIII, Jacob’s River Hundred, north of the road leading to Fairfax Township, and that the boundaries be altered accordingly.
NEW BOUNDARIES.
Otatau Riding.—Bounded on the north by the Wairio Riding and Taringatura Survey District; towards the east and south-east generally by the Southland County; towards the south by the Southland County, and road forming the south boundary of Blocks XV and XIV, Jacob’s River Hundred, to new road through Section 1 of 2, Block X, Jacob’s River Hundred; again on the south by said new road extended westerly to Fairfax Township; towards the west by main road through Section 41, Block VIII, Jacob’s River Hundred, to line of hundreds; again towards the south by the south boundary of Aparima Hundred; and towards the west by Longwood Survey District and Waiau Riding.
Aparima Riding.—Bounded towards the north and north-east by Otatau Riding hereinbefore described; towards the east and south-east by Southland County; towards the south, south-west, and again towards the south by the ocean, Jacob’s River Estuary, and the Pourakino River to the north-west corner of Block III, Jacob’s River Hundred, and by a right line due west to the Longwood Survey District; towards the west by that survey district.
The special order to take effect from the date of the gazetting thereof.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of Wallace County was hereto affixed, this 26th day of February, 1910, in presence of—

SPECIAL order made on the 1st day of February, 1910, under the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1908,” sections 28 and 72:—
“That the Mount Albert Road Board, by special order, shall, at the election of members to be held in may next, increase the number of members from five to seven.”
I, Harry Utting, Clerk to the Mount Albert Road Board, do hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was carried at a special meeting held the 1st February, 1910, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held the 1st March, 1910, and that the provisions of section 72 of “The Road Boards Act, 1908,” were complied with.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
Special Order levying Special Rate.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908,” the Christchurch City Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing the interest at the rate of £4 10s. per centum per annum and other charges on a loan of £750, authorised to be raised by the Christchurch City Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for defraying part of the cost of the purchase of a piece of land in Beckenham-Fisherton Recreation-ground Loan Special-rating Area, to be used as a pleasure-ground, the said Christchurch City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 38d. in the pound upon the rateable value (being the unimproved value) of all rateable property within that part of Sydenham Ward of the City of Christchurch named “Beckenham-Fisherton Recreation-ground Loan Special-rating Area,” comprising all that area commencing at the junction of Tennyson Street
