from the mouth of the said Hutt River to a point in
line with the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 8,
Block XIII, Belmont Survey District; thence towards the
north-west by a right line to the south-eastern corner of
the last-mentioned section, and by that section to the afore-
said western channel of the Hutt River.

Consenting to Land being taken for a Portion of the Extension
of Tawa Street to connect Gonville Avenue with King’s
Avenue, in the Township of Gonville.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of
March, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by “The Public Works Act, 1908” (herein-
after termed “the said Act”), it is in section fifteen (b)
thereof, inter alia, enacted that there shall not be taken any
land occupied by any building, yard, garden, orchard, or
vineyard, or in bona fide occupation as an ornamental park
or pleasure-ground, without the previous consent of the
Governor in Council:

And whereas an application has been made by the Gonville
Town Board for the issue of an Order in Council under the
said section consenting to the taking of a piece of land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto, which is occupied by a plan-
tation, garden, and buildings:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby consent to the land described in the Schedule hereto
being taken by the said Town Board for the purpose of Tawa
Street extension to connect Gonville Avenue with King’s
Avenue.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece of land in the Township of Gonville, Wellin-
ton Land District, required for a portion of the extension of
Tawa Street from Gonville Avenue to King’s Avenue, being
part of Lot 11 (D.P. 937) of Section 10, Block V, Westmere
Survey District; as the said piece of land is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 25962, and deposited
in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington,
in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured
red.

Declaring a Road at Abbotsford taken for a Road-diversion
in connection with the Waitaki-Bluff Railway to be a
Street.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of
March, 1910.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him
by “The Public Works Act, 1908,” and of all other
powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excel-
lency the Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
a certain road at Abbotsford, on the Lyttelton-Bluff Rail-
way, situated in the Borough of Green Island, and described
in the Schedule hereto, and which said road has hitherto
been a Government road within the meaning of the said
Act, shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council,
become a street, and that the said street shall be under the
control and management of the Green Island Borough
Council.


SCHEDULE.

ALL those parcels of land in the Otago Land District, con-
taining in the aggregate 3 roods 31·2 perches, more or less,
being portions of Allotments 5, 30, 29, 28, 27, and 26,

Block C, Township of Kingston, situated in Block V, Lower
Kaikorai Survey District, and being those parcels of land at
Abbotsford taken for a road in connection with the Waitaki-
Bluff Railway, by a Proclamation dated the 4th day of
April, 1908, and published in the New Zealand Gazette
No. 28, of the 9th day of April, 1908; as the said parcels of
land are more particularly shown coloured sepia, blue, and
yellow on plan marked 16282, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Railways, at Wellington.

Declaring Portion of the Maraetotara Road, in the
Hawke’s Bay County, to be a County Road.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this fifth day of
March, 1910.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in

MARAETOTARA ROAD.

ALL that portion of road in the Hawke’s Bay Land Dis-
trict, Hawke’s Bay County, known as the Maraetotara
Road, commencing at its junction with the Hastings-
Waimarama Road, and running generally in a south-
westerly direction to a point in 3A No. 2, Block VII, Kid-
napper Survey District, a distance of 1 mile 55 chains, more
or less; as the said portion of road is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 26119, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington,
in the Wellington Provincial District, and thereon coloured
red.

trict, Akitio County, known as the Kaituna Road, Pahiatua
No. 2 Farm-homestead Block, commencing at the boundary-
line of Sections 3 and 4, Block X, Mount Cerberus Survey
District, and proceeding thence generally in a southerly
direction to a point in the said road between the boundaries
of Sections 5 and 7, Block X, Mount Cerberus Survey
District, a distance of about 1 mile 20 chains, more or
less; as the same is more particularly delineated on the
plan marked P.W.D. 26109, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington
Provincial District, and thereon coloured red.
