Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of
a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.


PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by “The Public Reserves and Domains
Act, 1908,” it is, amongst other things, enacted that
the Governor may declare his intention to change, exchange,
or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter
vested in His Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes
named in Class II of the Second Schedule to the said Act,
whether the same be granted or not; and in the case of any
reserve made under the authority of section three hundred
and twenty-one of “The Land Act, 1908,” if it shall, in the
opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose
of such reserve or any part thereof from the purpose or pre-
sumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other pur-
pose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be
expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such
reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one
or more purposes named in the said Class II, the Governor
may, by notice gazetted, make such change, exchange, or
dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare
the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be
so made:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by “The Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908,”
aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific pur-
pose of the portion of the reserve described in the second
column of the Schedule hereto from that named in the first
column of the said Schedule to that named in the third
column of the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Original Reserve. Portion which it is intended to change. Intended Purpose.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by ad-measurement 1 acre 3 roods 8 perches, more or less, being Section No. 31 of the Village of Murchison (formerly known as Hampden); as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5364/5, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red. Set apart as a reserve for purposes of public utility in Nelson Provincial Gazette No. 24, of the 11th August, 1865, page 110. All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 8 perches, more or less, being portion of Section No. 31 of the Village of Murchison. Bounded towards the west by Fairfax Street, 172 links; towards the north by Sections Nos. 30, 28, 27, and 26 of the said village, 900 links; towards the east by Section No. 20 of the said village, 172 links; and towards the south by other portion of said Section No. 31, 900 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5364/9, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. For police purposes.

this fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine
hundred and ten.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in the Nelson Land District.


PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS the provisions and requirements of the
seventh section of “The Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908,” have been duly complied with in
respect of the lands described in the first column of the
Schedule hereto: And whereas notices in the Gazette have
been duly published for four consecutive weeks, and laid
before Parliament, as provided by the said section of the
said Act: And whereas no resolution of either House of
Parliament has been passed that such House does not
concur in the intention declared in any such notice:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the Act aforesaid, do hereby change the specific purpose of
the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule
hereto from that named therein to that named in the second
column of the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

FIRST COLUMN. Description and Purpose of Reserve. SECOND COLUMN. Purpose.
All that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less, and being part of Section No. 9, Block II, Village of Torea. Bounded towards the south-west by Section No. 10, Block II, Village of Torea, 500 links; towards the north-west by a continuation of the road forming the north-west boundary of the last-mentioned section, 100 links; towards the north-east by a line parallel to the south-west boundary, 250 links; again towards the north-west by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned boundary, 100 links; again towards the north-east by a road parallel to the south-west boundary, 250 links; and towards the south-east by a line at right angles to the last-mentioned boundary, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less: as the same is delineated on the plan marked L. 5314/4, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. Reserved for purposes of public utility in New Zealand Gazette No. 19, of the 8th March, 1894. Police reserve

Land temporarily reserved for a Site for a Public Hall
in Block VII, Oteramika Hundred, Southland Land
District.


PLUNKET, Governor.

WHEREAS by the three-hundred-and-twenty-first sec-
tion of “The Land Act, 1908,” it is enacted that
the Governor may from time to time, either by general or
particular description, and whether the same has been
surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwith-
standing that the same may be then held under pastoral
license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required
for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:

Now, therefore, I, William Lee, Baron Plunket, the
Governor of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise
and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me
by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale
the land in the Southland Land District described in the
Schedule hereunder written, for a site for a public hall.
