WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

Special Order making Special Rate.

In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £4,000, authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling a portion of the several roads in the Honikiwi Special Rating Area, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1½d. in the pound upon the rateable values of all rateable properties in the Honikiwi Special Rating Area.

The boundaries of the Honikiwi Special Rating Area are as follows: Commencing at a point at north-east corner of Section 6, Block 16, Pirongia Survey District; thence on the north generally by the northern boundaries of said Section 6, and Section E2, Section 2, Turoto, and Section 2 to Moakuraura Stream; thence by said Moakuraura Stream to north-east corner of Orahiri No. 3, Block 14; thence by northern boundary of said Section Orahiri No. 3, and Section No. 1, Block 14; thence on the east by said Section No. 1, and Sections 1 and 2, Block 1, Sections 3, 6A, 6B, Block 2, Orahiri; thence on the south generally by Sections 1 and 3, Block 4, Orahiri, Sections 12 and 11, by western, northern, and eastern boundaries of Section 10; thence by southern and eastern boundaries of Section 9 to Section 7; thence by southern boundaries of Section 7, Block 7, Orahiri; thence by southern and eastern boundaries of Section 12, and by southern boundaries of Section 13, Block 3, Orahiri; thence by southern boundaries of Sections 9, 11, 12, and 15 to the Waitomo Stream; thence by Waitomo Stream to Otorohanga–Pirongia Road, from the Otorohanga–Pirongia Road to north-east corner of Section Q No. 2; thence along the northern boundary of said Section Q No. 2 to the eastern and the northern boundaries of Sections 8 and 7, Block 4, Orahiri; thence along the block-line between Blocks 3 and 4 to the south-east corner of Turoto C No. 2B, Block 15, Pirongia; thence along eastern boundary of said section to Section 6, Block 16; thence along the southern and eastern boundaries to commencing-point.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of February and the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off, and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a special rate raised as a security for a loan under the said Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is at the rate of £4 17s. 6d. per cent. per annum; and the interest thereon for one year, together with the cost of raising the loan, is to be paid out of such loan.

the said Wairoa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 9/32 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the rating district, comprising the whole County of Wairoa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Passed at a special meeting of this Council held on the 14th October, 1910, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 11th November, 1910.

The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Wairoa was hereto affixed, this 30th day of November, 1910, in the presence of—
