THE following special order, made by the Milton
Borough Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

BOROUGH OF MILTON.
Notice of Special Order making Special Rate for Repayment of a Loan of £3,000 authorized to be raised to erect Gasworks within the Borough of Milton.
NOTICE is hereby given that at a special meeting of the
Milton Borough Council duly convened and held at the
Council Chambers, Milton, on the 5th day of October,
1910, the following resolution, intended to operate as a
special order, was adopted and passed; and notice is here-
by also given that the said resolution was confirmed at a
special meeting of the said Council duly convened and
held at the said Council Chambers on the 9th day of No-
vember, 1910: That this Council, in exercise of the powers
conferred by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the
Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and the New Zealand State-
guaranteed Advances Act, 1909, resolves to make and levy
an annually recurring special rate of 6d. in the pound upon
the rateable value of all rateable property within the
Borough of Milton, for the purpose of providing interest
and other charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be
raised by the Milton Borough Council under the Local
Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, to erect gasworks within the
borough, purchase freehold site, plant, and material, and
to construct, equip, and supervise such works; and that
such special rate shall be payable yearly on the 31st day
of March in every year during the currency of the said
loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until
the said loan is fully paid off.

Council, is published in accordance with the provi-
sions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order made on 21st day of October, 1910; confirmed on 23rd day of November, 1910.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Cook
County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the
purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a
loan of £9,303, authorized to be raised by the Cook County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling and
improvement of the roads in the schedule hereto, the said
Cook County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of ¼d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rate-
able property of the Whataupoko Special Rating District,
comprising the Whataupoko Riding of the County of Cook;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of July in each and every year during the cur-
rency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and
a half, or until the loan is fully paid off. The rate of
interest to be 3½ per cent.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and In-
habitants of the County of Cook was hereto affixed in the

County Council, are published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Waitomo
County Council hereby resolves as follows: That, for the
purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan
of £500, authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County
Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of
metalling portion of the Otorohanga–Hangatiki Road, the
said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 1¼d. in the pound upon the rateable values
of all rateable properties in the Mataparu Special Rating
Area, comprising the whole of Sections Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, 10, No. 2B 6654, Whareraurekau, and part of No. 1F
Orahiri, of Block 8, Orahiri; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of
such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of
February and 1st day of August in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-
six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off,
and subject in all respects to the provisions relating to a
special rate raised as a security for a loan under the said
Act. The interest to be paid on such loan is at the rate
of £4 17s. 6d. per cent. per annum; and the interest there-
on for one year, together with the cost of raising the loan,
is to be paid out of such loan.
