RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Rangiora Borough Council duly made and adopted the following special order at a duly convened special meeting held on Friday, the 28th day of October, 1910, and confirmed the same at a duly convened ordinary meeting on Friday, the 25th day of November, 1910 :—
The Rangiora Borough Council, in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, and its amendment, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and all other powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf, hereby resolves by special order : That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the special loan of £2,000, authorized to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Acts, for the purpose of constructing and providing the following extensions and enlargements to the present gasworks situated in Edward Street, in the Borough of Rangiora—namely, (a) additional retorts and purifiers; (b) one additional gas-holder, and the doing of all things necessary or incidental to such undertaking—the said Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 3/16 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Rangiora; and that such special rate be an annual-recurring rate payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March and the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HE following special order, made by the Waiapu County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908.

COUNTY OF WAIA PU.
Special Order.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, the Waiapu County Council hereby resolves as follows : That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £75,000, authorized to be raised by the Waiapu County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for (a) the widening and metalling of fifty miles of the main county road between Mangatuna and Te Araroa, £65,000 ; (b) the construction of a traffic bridge over the Waiapu River at Tikitiki, £5,000 ; and (c) the formation of twenty-two miles of dray-road between the Kopuapounamu Valley and Whangaparaoa, £5,000 ; the said Waiapu County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of ⅚d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the district, comprising the whole of the County of Waiapu : and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the loan is fully paid off.
The above resolution was adopted at a special meeting of the Council held on Monday, the 17th day of October, 1910, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on Wednesday, the 23rd day of November, 1910.

Notice of Result of Poll on Proposal to raise a Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Te Kuiti was taken on the 17th day of November, 1910, on the proposal of the Te Kuiti Borough Council to borrow the sum of £29,500 for—
(1.) Construction of drainage-works …

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 141. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 3. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

MAUKU ROAD DISTRICT, WAIAU WARD.
Result of Poll for Proposed Loan.
PURSUANT to section 13 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1908, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Waiau Ward of the Mauku Road District was taken on the 19th day of November, 1910, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £1,500 for the purpose of forming and improving the roads in the Waiau Ward.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 24. The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 10. I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
