Karioi Survey District, and proceeding north along the
east and north-east boundaries of Sections 139, 138, 140,
100, 21; thence along the north boundary of Sections 21
and 22 and the eastern corner of Section 35 (including
the following subsections of Section 35, which are in the
Karioi Riding—viz., 5, 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 of
Section 35); thence following the northern boundaries of
the above-mentioned subsections of Section 35 to the Opo-
toro Creek; and thence following the Opotoro Creek on its
west side to its junction with the Harbour of Whaingaroa;
thence running in a south-west and south direction along
the coast-line of Sections Papahua 5972, 15, N.M.S. 14,
3819, 129, 130, 2A, west 121, 120, 102A, 101, 113, 111, 96, 96A,
95, south 94, 93A, west and east 93, 92, 115, to the south-
west corner of Section 116; thence in an easterly direc-
tion along the northern boundary of Section 6008 to Trig.
94; thence in a north-easterly direction along the county
boundary to the point of commencement.
And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring
rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-
six years and a half, and the rate of interest to be paid
to cover both interest and redemption not to exceed £5
per centum per annum, or until the loan is fully paid off;
and it is the intention to pay out of loan cost of raising
same and first year's interest.
The above resolution was duly passed as a special order
at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held
on the 13th day of October, 1910, and confirmed at a
special meeting of the said Council held on the 24th day
day of November, 1910.

THE following special order, made by the Rangitikei
County Council, is published in accordance with the
provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.
Special Order making Special Rate.—Loan of £5,500,
Mataroa-Koeke Road.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the
Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £5,500, authorized to be raised by the
Rangitikei County Council, under the provisions of the
above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of gravelling the
Mataroa-Koeke Road from Murray's Track to Koeke, the
said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of 15/16 of a penny in the pound sterling upon
the rateable value of all rateable property of the Mataroa-
Koeke Road 'Special Rating District, comprising all that
area situate within the County of Rangitikei, and bounded
as follows—commencing at trigonometrical station on Mau-
gakaretu on the Rangitikei County boundary; thence in
a southerly direction by said boundary to its intersection
with the south boundary of Section 63, Block XIII, Mau-
gakaretu Survey District; thence generally in a south-
easterly direction by the said boundary to the Turakina
River, and by the said river and the south-west boundaries
of Sections 5A and 5, Block XIII, and Sections 8, 9, and
10, Block XIV, Maungakaretu Survey District, and Sec-
tion 25, Block II, Tiriraukawa Survey District, to the
Karetu North Road; thence by the said road to the north
boundary of Section 6, Block II, Tiriraukawa Survey Dis-
trict; thence by the north boundary of said section, and
again in a southerly direction by its east boundary and
the east boundary of Section 5 to the south-west corner of
Section 10, Block II, Tiriraukawa Survey District; thence
in a south-easterly direction by the south-west boundary
of said Section 10 to the Mangamahoe Road, and by said
road and the south-west boundaries of Section 15 and of
Section 19 (P.E.R.) to the Taheke Road, and by the said
road to the east boundary of the said Section 19; thence
in a northerly direction generally by the east boundaries
of Sections 19, 20, 21, and 22, and Section 29, Block II
aforesaid, to its north-east corner; thence in an easterly
direction by the south boundary of Section 12 (P.E.R.),
Block XV, Maungakaretu Survey District, to the Manga-
papa Stream; thence in a northerly direction by the said
stream to the south boundary of Section 1 (P.E.R.), Block
XV, Maungakaretu Survey District; thence in an easterly
direction by the south boundary of said Section 1 and the
south boundaries of Sections 21, 22, and 23, Block XVI,
Maungakaretu Survey District, and again in a northerly
direction by the east boundary of said Section 23 to the
Rongoiti Road; thence by the said road and the south-
east boundaries of Sections 17 and 13A, and the north-east
boundary of Section 13A to the Rangitikei County bound-
ary, and thence by the said boundary in a westerly direc-
tion to the point of commencement: and that such special
rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency
of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of May
in each and every year during the currency of such loan,
being a period of thirty-six years and a half, or until the
loan is fully paid off.
I, Robert Kirkpatrick Simpson, Chairman of the Rangi-
tikei County Council, do hereby certify that the above
special order was duly made and passed at a special meet-
ing of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 29th
day of October, 1910, and was duly confirmed at a special
meeting of the said Rangitikei County Council held on
the 26th day of November, 1910.
In testimony whereof the common seal of the Rangitikei
County Council has been hereunto affixed.

Foxton.

THE following special order, made by the Foxton
Borough Council, is published in accordance with
the provisions of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908.

SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1908, the
Foxton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows: That,
for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges
on a loan of £11,000, authorized to be raised by the Foxton
Borough Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purchase and extension of the Foxton Gasworks, the said
Foxton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 2½d. upon the rateable value of all the rateable
property comprised in the whole of the Borough of Fox-
ton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recur-
ring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-
one years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
We hereby certify that the foregoing special order was
made by the Foxton Borough Council at a special meeting
held on the 17th day of October, 1910, and confirmed at
an ordinary meeting of the said Council held on the 14th
day of November, 1910.
