watered. Fronts Waikawau Valley Road. Distant about
twenty-three miles from Awakino by formed bridle-track.
TAURANGA COUNTY—TE TUMU SURVEY DISTRICT.

Altitude, 5 ft. to 6 ft. above sea-level. Level land, covered
with fern and manuka scrub, with patches of rough grass.
Soil is of sandy nature, but of fair quality, on volcanic
cement; indifferently watered. Fronts the Bay of Plenty,
about nineteen miles from Tauranga by the Tauranga-
Maketu Beach Road, or fifteen miles from Te Puke by the
Te Puke - Papamoa Beach Road.
